Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana kondisi ojek konvensional di era perkembangan ojek online. Bagaimana eksistensi ojek konvensional dapat bertahan di dalam persaingannya dengan ojek online. Selain itu penelitian ini memaparkan bagaimana dengan terbentuknya persaingan antara ojek konvensional dan juga ojek online dapat menimbulkan dampak-dampak yang mempengaruhi kehidupan para tukang ojek konvensional. Dengan mengalami dampak-dampak atas kondisi tersebut, para tukang ojek online harus beradaptasi terhadap dampak-dampak yang ditumbulkan akibat persaingannya dengan ojek online. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kampung Melayu, Jakarta Timur. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah lima orang tukang ojek konvesional, dua orang tukang ojek online dan tiga orang narasumber sebagai pengguna layanan ojek konvesional maupun ojek online. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Triangulasi digunakan untuk mengecek keabsahan data. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana ojek konvensional mempertahankan eksistensinya di masyarakat. Dengan adanya persaingan antara ojek konvensional dan ojek online, membuat ojek konvensional mengalami berbagai dampak yang muncul dalam kehidupannya. Dampak ekonomi yang paling berpengaruh membuat para tukang ojek konvensional mengalami kesusahan mendapatkan pendapatan. Selain itu ada juga dampak sosial yang menimbulkan konflik yang terjadi antara ojek konvensional dan ojek online. Bahkan terjadinya dampak psikologi yang dimana para tukang ojek online mengalami rasa tidak percaya diri, pasrah, bahkan menyerah dengan keadaan yang mereka jalani sekarang. Dalam menghadapi dampak-dampak tersebut, para tukang ojek konvensional melakukan adaptasi-adaptasi agar keadaan yang mereka alami dapat teratasi atau lebih ringan untuk dijalani. This study aims to describe the ions of conventional motorcycle taxis in the era of online motorcycle taxis development. How can the existence of conventional motorcycle taxis survive in the competition with online motorcycle taxis. In addition, this study describes how the formation of competition between conventional motorcycle taxis and online motorcycle taxis can have impacts that affect the lives of conventional motorcycle taxi drivers. By experiencing the effects of these conditions, online motorcycle taxi drivers must adapt to the impacts caused by their competition with online motorcycle taxis. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted in Kampung Melayu, East Jakarta. The subjects of this study were five conventional motorcycle taxi drivers, two online motorcycle taxi drivers and three resource persons as users of both conventional and online ojek services. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. Triangulation is used to check the validity of the data. The result of this research is how conventional ojegs maintain their existence in society. With the competition between conventional ojegs and online ojegs, conventional ojegs experience various impacts that arise in their lives. The most influential economic impact has made it difficult for conventional motorcycle taxi drivers to earn income. In addition, there are also social impacts that lead to conflicts that occur between conventional ojek and online ojek. In fact, there is a psychological impact in which online motorcycle taxi drivers experience insecurity, resignation, and even give up on the situation they are in now. In dealing with these impacts, conventional motorcycle taxi drivers make adaptations so that the conditions they experience can be overcome or be easier to live with.
