Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media buku bantuan diri mengenai optimisme yang ditujukan pada remaja khususnya peserta didik kelas X dan XI di SMA Negeri 68 Jakarta. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 125 peserta didik dari kelas X dan XI dengan menggunakan Cluster Random Sampling. Metode yang digunakan Design Based Research (DBR) yang terdiri dari tiga tahapan yakni analisis dan eksplorasi, desain dan konstruksi serta evaluasi dan refleksi. Namun, penelitian terbatas sampai evaluasi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner instrumen Life Orientation Test-Received (LOT-R), angket kebutuhan, dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa sebuah buku bantuan diri yang berjudul Petualangan Rakkan dengan materi-materi yang tersedia seperti; (1) pengertian optimisme, (2) pengukuran optimisme dengan LOT-R, (3) perencanaan optimisme dengan jurnal kegiatan, (4) mengenal sikap optimisme, (5) dukungan sosial (6) kesehatan fisik, (7) kesehatan mental dan (8) kesejahteraan. Berdasarkan hasil data evaluasi formatif didapatkan hasil validasi ahli materi 85% (sangat layak) dan validasi ahli media 90% (sangat layak). Kesimpulan penelitian ini buku bantuan diri mengenai optimisme dikategorikan sangat layak digunakan peserta didik SMA Negeri 68 Jakarta untuk mengembangkan optimisme dengan tema telah sesuai dan sangat penting untuk remaja, pilihan sub tema telah sesuai dengan tema besarnya, materi yang dipilih telah sesuai serta latihan-latihannya sudah tepat. Diharapkan buku bantuan diri ini dapat di uji coba kepada peserta didik dan diketahui kebermanfaatan dan keefektifan nya serta dapat di uji coba di sekolah lainnya. This research aims to produce a self-help book media about optimism aimed at adolescents, especially students in class X and XI at SMA Negeri 68 Jakarta. The sample in this study were 125 students from class X and XI using cluster random sampling. The method used is Design-Based Research (DBR) which consists of three stages, namely analysis and exploration, design and construction as well as evaluation and reflection. However, research is limited to evaluation. Collecting data using the Life Orientation Test-Received (LOT-R) instrument questionnaire, needs questionnaire, and interviews. The result of this research is in the form of a self-help book entitled Petualangan Rakkan with available materials such as; (1) understanding optimism, (2) measuring optimism using LOT-R, (3) optimism planning using an activity journal, (4) recognizing optimism, (5) social support (6) physical health, (7) mental health and ( 8) Well-being. Based on the results of the formative evaluation data, the results of the validation of material experts are 85% (very feasible) and the validation results of media experts are 90% (very feasible). The conclusion of this research is that the self-help book on optimism is categorized as very suitable for use by students of SMA Negeri 68 Jakarta to develop optimism with a theme that is appropriate and very important for adolescents, the choice of sub-themes is in accordance with the major theme, the selected material is appropriate and the exercises are right. It is hoped that this self-help book can be tested on students and its usefulness and effectiveness will be known and can be tested in other schools.
