Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konseling kelompok CBT dengan teknik cognitive restructuring terhadap kecemasan berbicara di depan kelas siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri Medan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian ini merupakan siswa yang memiliki kecemasan berbicara di depan kelas sejumlah 100 orang. Subjek diambil dengan menggunakang cara screening dengan teknik purposive. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara purposive karena sampel yang diambil berdasarkan kriteria yaitu siswa yang memiliki kecemasan berbicara di depan kelas. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan instrument berskala PRPSA (Personal Report Public Speaking Anxiety) yang berjumlah 34 item pernyataan yang sudah diuji validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji mann whitney. Dari hasil analisis yang didapatkan diperoleh symp.sig (2tailed) sebesar 0,00 < 0,05 maka Ho ditolak, artinya terdapat pengaruh konseling kelompok CBT dengan teknik cognitive restructuring terhadap kecemasan berbicara di depan kelas siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri Medan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa CBT dapat digunakan oleh guru BK dalam membantu siswa untuk mengatasi kecemasannya ketika berbicara di depan kelas. Kata Kunci: CBT, cognitive restructuring, Kecemasan berbicara, Nonequivalent control group design. ************** ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of CBT group counseling with cognitive restructuring techniques on speaking anxiety in front of class XI class students of SMA Negeri Medan. This study is an experimental study with a nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this study were students who had anxiousness to speak in front of a class of 100 people. Subjects were taken by using a purposive screening method. Sampling was done by purposive because the sample was taken based on the criteria, namely students who have anxiety to speak in front of the class. Collecting data in this study used a PRPSA (Personal Report Public Speaking Anxiety) scale instrument, which amounted to 34 statement items that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis in this study used the Mann Whitney test. From the results of the analysis obtained symp.sig (2tailed) of 0.00 <0.05, so Ho is rejected, meaning that there is an effect of CBT group counseling with cognitive restructuring techniques on speaking anxiety in front of class XI class students of SMA Negeri Medan. The results showed that CBT could be used by counseling teachers in helping students to overcome their anxiety when speaking in front of the class.
