Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah media self-help book mengenai literasi depresi bagi remaja khususnya peserta didik kelas 10 di SMAN Unggulan MH Thamrin Jakarta. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas 10 sebanyak 70 peserta didik menggunakan teknik non probabilitas sampling insidental sebagai teknik pengambilan sampel. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen Kutcher adolescence depression scale – 6, instrumen depression literacy questionnaire, angket kebutuhan media dan wawancara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah design based research (DBR). Literasi depresi memiliki beberapa komponen diantaranya ada pengertian depresi, penyebab depresi, gejala-gejala depresi dan informasi mengenai bantuan tenaga professional kesehatan mental. Hasil dari penyebaran angket depression literation questionnaire kepada 70 peserta didik, 53 peserta didik masuk kedalam kategoi sedang, sedangkan 17 peserta didik measuk kedalam kategori tinggi mengenai literasi depresi. Hasil validasi mengenai self-help book dari ahli media diperoleh sebesar 86,25% dan ahli materi sebesar 86,90%. Hasil ini menunjukkan media self-help book literasi depresi dikategorikan sangat layak untuk digunakan. Oleh karena itu, guru BK dapat menggunakan self-help book literasi depresi ini sebagai media pendamping ketika melakukan bimbingan kelompok saat melakukan layanan dasar pada jam bimbingan konseling di sekolah. *********** This research is purposed to develop self-help book media about depression literacy for youth especially 10th grade students in SMAN Unggulan MH Thamrin Jakarta. The samples of this research are 70 students of the 10th grade students, using non-probability incidental sampling technique as the technique to select the samples. The research method used in Design Based Research (DBR). Depression literacy has several components, there are definition of depression, cause of depression, symptomps of depression and information about professional medical staffs of mental health. The result of the depression literation questionnaire which was spreas to 70 students, 53 categorized as average, meanwhile 17 students categorize as high depression literacy. The data gathering used instrument of Kutcher Adolecence Depression Scale-6, Depression Literacy Questionnaire, survey of media needs and an interview. Validation result about self-help book gets 86.25% from media experts and 86.90% from material experts. This result shows that self-help book depression literacy media is worth to be used. Hence, the school counselor are able to use self-help book depression literacy as a companion media while doing group counseling as the school counselor do basic service during guidance and couneling time at school.
