Abstract

The objective of this research was to understand the effect of perceived organizational support and job stress on organizational commitment. It was a quantitative research in five schools located in Pandeglang Regency, Banten. The research used a survey method with path analysis applied in testing hyphotesis. It was conducted to 87 teachers as the respondents which were selected in a simple random way. The result of this study are: (1) There is a positive direct effect of perceived organizational support on organizational commitment. (2) There is a negative direct effect of job stress on organizational commitment, and (3) There is a negative direct effect of perceived organizational support on job stress.
