Abstract

Isi dalam laporan penciptaan karya tari ini bertujuan untuk mempresentasikan konsep dan keterangan karya tari mulai dari latar belakang karya sampai pada deskripsi sajian karya tari Los. Penciptaan tari ini menggunakan Moving From Whitin: A New Method For Dance Making dari Alma M. Hawkins. Karya Tari Los berangkat dari konsep self love pada perempuan dan mengaitkannya dengan konsep kebebasan yang diambil dari Tari Bujang Ganong dalam kesenian Reyog ponorogo. Penciptaan karya tari ini berada dalam kondisi dunia diserang wabah COVID-19 sehingga pertunjukkan tari berbentuk daring. Penciptaan Tari ini melibatkan 2 penari perempuan yang mereprentasikan sesuai konsep, sehingga pesan yang ingin disampaikan dalam karya tari ini terwujud. ************ The Purpose of this research is to describe the background and concept of this dance piece, using Alma M. Hawkins methode “Moving From Whitin”. Los Dance Piece was derived from the “self-love” concept in women, connecting it to freedom that was taken from Bujang Ganong Dance in Reyog Ponorogo. The piece involved 2 dancers to represent the concept of the dance, and was performed online as a result of Covid-19 pandemic.
