Abstract
Alat pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner The Exercise of Self-Care Agency Scale (ESAS) dan Adolescent Stress Questionnaire (ASQ). This study aims to determine the relationship between self-care practices of junior high school students in DKI Jakarta. The population in this research is 1,064 students. Sampling based on probability sampling technique using accidental sampling. Analysis of the data used is a simple correlation analysis from Karl Pearson. Data collection tools in the form of questionnaires The Exercise of Self-Care Agency Scale (ESAS) and Adolescent Stress Questionnaire (ASQ). The results of the validity test describe all valid items. Meanwhile, the reliability for each instrument is 0.912 and 0.902. The results showed that: (1) students' self-care was in the moderate category, which was 798 with an average self-care of 97 from a maximum score of 120, (2) students' stress results were in the moderate category with a range of 62-98, namely 745 students with an average result of 74 from a maximum score of 135, and (3) There is a negative relationship between self-care and stress for junior high school students in DKI Jakarta. The results of the correlation analysis showed Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05 with a Pearson Correlation value of -0.306 (negative value) so that Ha is accepted. The contribution is 9.3%. Therefore, students are expected to be able to maintain and care for their health physically and psychologically so that it affects the social or environmental, physiological, and psychological in coping stress.
