Abstract

ABSTRAK FAJAR NUR AMSIR, PRATOMO SETYADI, S.T., M.T., Ir. NUGROHO GAMA YOGA, S.T., M.T., 2021, PERHITUNGAN EFISIENSI ENERGI FLUIDIZED BED SPRAY DRYING DENGAN VORTEX GENERATOR 30° TERHADAP SUMBU Y KAPASITAS 1 LITER PER JAM. Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Spray drying merupakan alat pengubah cairan menjadi serbuk kering yang sangat modern dan efisien. Bahan disemprotkan ke dalam media pengering melalui nozzel injector 0,1 mm pada aliran udara panas dan membuat kandungan air dalam ruangan silo menguap, bahan dapat berupa larutan atau pasta dan sebagai produk akhirannya adalah berupa powder atau bubuk. Sehinnga pengeringan ini mampu mengawetkan bahan dengan kualitas yang baik. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui efisiensi energi dan produksi mesin pengering spray drying dengan kapasitas 1 liter per jam. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian diperoleh melalui hasil pembacaan data pengeringan melalui microsoftt office excel 2019 oleh Arduino mega 2560 dengan sensor max6675, sensor termokopel, dan sensor DHT 11. Injektor menyemprot pada temperatur ruang pengering silo pertama yaitu 200℃, Pada pengujian pertama lama waktu pengeringan 3 jam 35 menit hasil produk 161,62gram dan nilai efisiensi energi 6,03%. Pengujian kedua lama waktu pengeringan 3 jam 24 menit hasil produk 139,22gram dan nilai efisiensi engergi 6,35%. Pengujian ketiga lama waktu pengeringan 3 jam 41 menit hasil produk 178,73gram dan nilai efisiensi energi 5,86%. Pengujian keempat lama waktu pengeringan 3 jam 1 menit hasil produk 250,53gram dan nilai efisiensi energinya 7,16%. Pengujian kelima lama waktu pengeringan 3 jam 16 menit hasil produk 216,99gram dan nilai efisiensi energinya 6,61%. Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Jakarta. Spray drying is a very modern and efficient means of converting liquid into dry powder. The material is sprayed into the drying medium through the 0.1 mm injector nozzle in a hot air stream and makes the water content in the silo room evaporate, the material can be in the form of a solution or paste and the final product is a powder or powder. So that this drying is able to preserve the material with good quality. This research was conducted to determine the energy efficiency and production of a spray drying machine with a capacity of 1 liter per hour. Based on the test results obtained through reading the drying data through Microsoft Office Excel 2019 by Arduino Mega 2560 with a max6675 sensor, a thermocouple sensor, and a DHT 11 sensor. The injector sprays at the temperature of the first silo drying room, which is 200℃. 35 minutes the product yield is 161.62gram and the energy efficiency value is 6.03%. The second test is the drying time of 3 hours 24 minutes, the product yield is 139.22gram and the energy efficiency value is 6.35%. The third test is the drying time of 3 hours 41 minutes the product yield is 178.73gram and the energy efficiency value is 5,86%. The fourth test is the drying time of 3 hours 1 minute the product yield is 250.53gram and the energy efficiency value is 7.16%. The fifth test is the drying time of 3 hours 16 minutes, the product yield is 216.99gram and the energy efficiency value is 6,61%. Keywords: spray drying, efficiency calculation, drying machine
