Abstract

The ability to think critically is a challenge in the current situation therefore the role of the educational field is required. The film can be the option as a learning media. This research aims at revealing the ideology contained in Rudy Habibie the movie. The critical discourse analysis of Norman Fairclough was used using the method of content analysis through a qualitative approach. It was found that the dominant capitalist ideology was noticed in Rudy Habibie the movie based on data gathered through techniques of observation, documentation, and interview. Norman Fairclough's three dimensions explain that Pancasila's ideology was also found in the textual dimension in addition to capitalism's ideology. As for the dimensions of discourse and socio-cultural practice, it has been found that the practice of power has become a characteristic of capitalism's ideology. Thus, Rudy Habibie the movie has the notion of capitalism as the dominant ideology based on Norman Fairclough's three dimensions. These research findings can be recommended as teaching materials in discourse analysis courses. The role of the educational field to train the critical thinking capacity of students can be attained by the end. ********** Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan tantangan dalam situasi saat ini sehingga dibutuhkan peran dunia pendidikan. Film merupakan salah satu media pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengungkap ideologi yang terdapat dalam film Rudy Habibie. Analisis wacana kritis Norman Fairclough digunakan melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode analisis isi. Berdasarkan data yang terkumpul melalui teknik observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara diketahui bahwa ideologi kapitalisme dominan ditemukan dalam film Rudy Habibie. Tiga dimensi Norman Fairclough menjelaskan bahwa pada dimensi tekstual selain ideologi kapitalisme ditemukan juga ideologi Pancasila. Adapun pada dimensi kewacanaan dan dimensi praktik sosial budaya ditemukan adanya praktik kekuasaan yang menjadi ciri ideologi kapitalisme. Dengan demikian film Rudy Habibie memiliki paham kapitalisme sebagai ideologi yang dominan berdasarkan tiga dimensi Norman Fairclough. Hasil penelitian ini dapat direkomendasikan sebagai bahan ajar pada mata kuliah wacana bahasa Indonesia. Pada akhirnya peran dunia pendidikan untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dapat tercapai.
