Abstract

Wahid Hasyim merupakan salah satu tokoh yang perjuanganya tidak boleh dilupakan dalam sejarah bangsa Indonesia, Wahid Hasyim yang lahir pada tanggal 1 Juni 1914, sejak kecil telah akrab dengan dunia Pesantren, karena alasan tersebutlah yang pada akhirnya membuat Wahid Hasyim memilih untuk bergabung bersama organisasi Nahdlatul Ulama sebagai sarana perjuanganya. Pada masa pendudukan Jepang di Indonesia, sebagai salah satu tokoh penting dari kalangan Islam, Wahid Hasyim dipercaya oleh pemerintah Jepang untuk mengisi berbagai jabatan penting dalam pemerintahan, dengan harapan bahwa Wahid Hasyim bisa membantu pemerintah Jepang. Selama masa pendudukan Jepang di Indonesia Wahid Hasyim mengisi jabatan sebagai Ketua Maysumi, Ketua Shumubu dan juga anggotta dari Chuo-sangiin, Akan tetapi Wahid Hasyim malah memanfaatkan berbagai jabatanya di dalam pemerintahan, untuk memperjuangkan kepentingan bangsa Indonesia yang sedang berjuang untuk meraih kemerdekaan. Wahid Hasyim juga berhasil meyakinkan pemerintah Jepang, untuk membentuk barisan Islam yang bernama Hizbullah. Selama masa menjelang kemerdekaan Indonesia, Wahid Hasyim juga terlibat aktif dalam BPUPKI, PPKI dan anggotta perumusan Piagam Jakarta yaitu Panitia Sembilan. Wahid Hasyim is one of the figures whose struggles should not be forgotten in the history of the Indonesian nation, Wahid Hasyim who was born on June 1, 1914, has been familiar with the world of Islamic boarding schools since childhood, for that reason ultimately made Wahid Hasyim choose to join the Nahdlatul Ulama organization. as a means of struggle. During the Japanese occupation of Indonesia, Wahid Hasyim was trusted by the Japanese government to fill various important positions in the government, with the hope that Wahid Hasyim could help the Japanese government. During the Japanese occupation of Indonesia Wahid Hasyim filled the positions of Chairman of Maysumi, Chairman of Shumubu and also a member of Chuo- sangiin. However, Wahid Hasyim instead took advantage of his various positions in the government, to fight for the interests of the Indonesian people who were struggling for independence. Wahid Hasyim also succeeded in convincing the Japanese government to form an Islamic group called Hezbollah. During the period leading up to Indonesian independence, Wahid Hasyim was also actively involved in BPUPKI, PPKI and members of the Jakarta Charter formulation, namely the Nine Committee.
