Abstract

Garis besar penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pendidikan keagamaan di Seminari Menengah Wacana Bhakti dalam membentuk calon imam Gereja. Penelitian ini menyajikan bagaimana praktik atau proses penyelenggaraan pendidikan dan pembinaan calon imam di Seminari Menengah Wacana Bhakti. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data-data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam secara daring, dan dokumentasi. Subjek dari penelitian ini sebanyak 4 informan kunci yang terdiri dari 1 romo rektor seminari, 1 prefek studi seminari, 2 guru/pamong seminari. Kemudian 7 informan untuk triangulasi dari 3 seminaris, 2 eks-seminaris, dan 2 lulusan Seminari Menengah Wacana Bhakti yang sedang menempuh pendidikan di Seminari Tinggi. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Seminari Menengah Wacana Bhakti yang terletak di Jalan Pejaten Barat Raya No. 10 A 002/010, Ragunan, Kecamatan Pasar Minggu, Kota Jakarta Selatan dan penelitian ini dimulai sejak Juli hingga September 2021. Hasil penelitian kemudian dianalisis dan disajikan dengan metode naratif melalui pengalaman para informan yang disusun ulang secara berurutan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bagaimana pendidikan keagamaan di Seminari Menengah Wacana Bhakti dalam konsep institusi total. Terdapat dua program pendidikan, yakni KPP (4 tahun) bagi lulusan SMP, dan KPA (1 tahun) untuk lulusan SMA. Bagi seminaris KPP, tahun pertama dilakukan proses desosialisasi atau pencabutan identitas lama sebagai remaja biasa melalui pembiasaan hidup di seminari. Kemudian tiga tahun berikutnya dilakukan resosialiasai atau penanaman identitas baru sebagai calon imam dengan menanamkan sikap bangga menjadi seminaris dan materi-materi pembinaan. Sementara untuk seminaris KPA, proses desosialisasi dan resosialisasi dilaksanakan bersamaan dalam waktu satu tahun. Pencabutan identitas lama dan penanaman identitas baru seorang calon imam dilaksanakan melalui pembiasaan hidup di seminari, sekaligus menanamkan sikap bangga menjadi seminaris, dan memilih jalur pelayanan imamat. This research outline aims to describe religious education at the Wacana Bhakti Middle Seminary in forming candidates for Church priests. This study presents how the practice or process of providing education and coaching prospective priests at the Wacana Bhakti Middle Seminary. This research uses a case study approach. The data obtained through observation, in-depth study, and documentation. The subjects of this study were 4 key informants consisting of 1 seminary priest, 1 seminary study prefect, 2 seminary teachers/supervisors. Then 7 informants for triangulation from 3 seminarians, 2 ex-seminaries, and 2 graduates of the Wacana Bhakti Middle Seminary who are currently studying at the Higher Seminary. The location of the research was carried out at the Wacana Bhakti Intermediate Seminary which was located on Jalan Pejaten Barat Raya No. 10 A 002/010, Ragunan, Pasar Minggu Subdistrict, South Jakarta City and this research started from July to September 2021. The results of the research were then analyzed and presented using a narrative method through the experiences of the informants which were arranged sequentially. The results of this study show how religious education at the Wacana Bhakti Middle Seminary is in the concept of a total institution. There are two educational programs, namely KPP (4 years) for junior high school graduates, and KPA (1 year) for high school graduates. For KPP seminarians, in the first year a process of desocialization or revocation of the old identity as ordinary youth is carried out through habituation to life in the seminary. Then for the next three years, resocialization is carried out or planting a new identity as a prospective priest by instilling an attitude of pride in being a seminarian and coaching materials. Meanwhile, for KPA seminarians, the desocialization and resocialization processes are carried out simultaneously within one year. The revoking of the old identity and the planting of a new identity for a prospective priest is carried out through habituation to life in the seminary, as well as instilling an attitude of pride in being a seminarian, and choosing the path of priesthood service.
