Abstract
Penelitian ini telah dilakukan pada bulan Agustus 2021 di Kelurahan Kalibaru, Kecamatan Cilincing, Jakarta Utara. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi seberapa besar kontribusi istri nelayan dalam meningkatkan ekonomi rumah tangga khususnya pada musim barat dan sejauh mana kontribusi istri nelayan tersebut dalam menutupi penurunan pendapatan pada angin musim barat. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey ke 34 rumah tangga nelayan. Hasil dari survei terdapat 12 responden yang belum dapat memenuhi ekonomi rumah tangganya khusus pada musim barat, sedangkan sebanyak 22 responden sudah mampu memenuhi ekonomi rumah tangganya. Kontribusi istri nelayan dalam bidang perikanan dominan bekerja menjadi buruh kupas kerang sebanyak 29 responden dan 5 responden berkegiatan mengolah hasil tangkapan suami. Selain itu, sebanyak 7 responden ikut berkontribusi di luar bidang perikanan yang pendapatannya tidak terpengaruh oleh angin musim barat. Sebanyak 3 responden berkegiatan sebagai pedagang sembako, 2 responden berkegiatan sebagai penjahit, 1 responden berkegiatan sebagai pedagang frozen food, 1 responden berkegiatan sebagai pedagang sempol ayam dan sebanyak 27 responden tidak ada kegiatan di luar bidang perikanan. Persentase kontribusi istri nelayan terhadap pendapatan rumah tangga mengalami kenaikan ketika beralih dari musim timur ke musim barat, yakni dari kontribusi rata-rata pendapatan sebesar 30% menjadi 56%. ********************* This research was conducted in August 2021 in Kalibaru Village, Cilincing District, North Jakarta. The purpose of this study is to identify how much the fishermen’s wives contribute to improving the household economy, especially in the west monsoon and the extent to which the fishermen’s wives contribute to covering the decline in income in the west monsoons. The methodology used in this study is a survey method to 34 fisherman’s household. The result of the survey there are 12 respondents who have not been able to meet the household economy especially in the west season, while as many as 22 respondents have been able to meet the household economy. The contribution of fishermen’s wives in the dominant fishery sector works as shellfish workers as many as 29 respondents and 5 respondents are active in processing their husbands catches. In addition, as many as 7 respondents contributed outside the fishery sector whose income was not affected by the west monsoon. A total of 3 respondents are active as food traders, 2 respondents are active as tailors, 1 respondent is active as a frozen food trader, 1 respondent is active as a chicken sempol trader and as many as 27 respondents have no activities outside the fishery sector. The percentage of fisherman’s wife’s contribution to household income increased when switching from the east season to the west season, from an average contribution of 30% to 56% of income.
