Abstract

Kebun Raya Bogor merupakan destinasi wisata alam di Bogor yang memiliki keragaman jenis tumbuhan yang menjadi habitat ideal beraneka ragam jenis burung. Melimpahnya jenis burung menjadi potensi untuk pengembangan ekowisata birdwatching di Kebun Raya Bogor. Berdasarkan survei, ditemukan adanya persepsi pengunjung yang kurang baik terhadap burung karena kurangnya pengetahuan pengunjung tentang jenis-jenis burung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan pengunjung tentang burung dengan persepsi potensi ekowisata birdwatching di Kebun Raya Bogor. Jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 400 orang dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin yang dipilih secara simple random sampling. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan November-Desember 2021 di Kebun Raya Bogor. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif melalui studi korelasi. Teknik analisis data, untuk uji prasyarat dilakukan uji normalitas menggunakan uji Kolmogorov-Smirnov dan uji homogenitas menggunakan uji Bartlett, sementara uji hipotesis menggunakan uji regresi linear dan korelasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pengunjung memiliki pengetahuan tentang burung yang sangat baik dan memiliki persepsi potensi ekowisata birdwatching dalam kategori baik. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan positif dengan kategori cukup kuat antara pengetahuan pengunjung tentang burung dengan persepsi potensi ekowisata birdwatching. Bogor Botanical Gardens is a natural tourist destination in Bogor that has a variety of plant species that are ideal habitats for various types of birds. The abundance of bird species potential to develop birdwatching ecotourism in the Bogor Botanical Gardens. Based on the survey, it was found that there were unfavorable perceptions of visitors to birds due to the lack of knowledge of visitors about bird species. This study aims to determine the relationship between visitor knowledge about bird and the perception of the potential birdwatching in the Bogor Botanical Gardens. The sample size of the study using Slovin was up to 400 people, selected by simple random sampling. The research was carried out in November-December 2021 at the Bogor Botanical Gardens. The method used is a quantitative method through correlation studies. Data analysis technique, for the prerequisite test, normality test was performed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and homogeneity test using the Bartlett test, while hypothesis testing using linear regression and correlation tests. Based on research, visitors have very good knowledge of bird and have a good perception of the potential birdwatching. The conclusion of this study is a positive relationship with a fairly strong category between visitors' knowledge about bird and the perception of the potential for birdwatching.
