Abstract

Dunia saat ini menuntut seorang individu untuk dibekali dengan keterampilan literasi untuk menghadapi tantangan abad kedua puluh satu. Dalam mempersiapkan siswa yang baik dan melek huruf, pemerintah melalui Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI mengusulkan Gerakan Literasi Nasional yang juga dikenal dengan Gerakan Literasi Nasional (GLN). Program ini diciptakan tidak hanya untuk membangun budaya literasi di lingkungan pendidikan, mulai dari keluarga, sekolah, dan masyarakat untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup tetapi juga untuk meningkatkan kebiasaan, minat, dan pemahaman membaca siswa.(Kemendikbud, 2017). Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan bacaan literasi kegiatan membaca 15 menit untuk siswa kelas 6 yang terdiri dari 5 literasi wajib yang diusulkan dalam kebijakan (Kemendikbud, 2017) seperti: literasi sains, literasi numerik, literasi digital, literasi keuangan, dan literasi budaya dan kewarganegaraan dalam satu set modul.Ada lima fase utama yang meliputi fase eksplorasi, perencanaan, fase pengembangan model, validasi produk, dan revisi produk. Tahap eksplorasi dilakukan dengan menganalisis 15 buku bacaan eksisting yang digunakan untuk kegiatan membaca 15 menit gerakan literasi sekolah yang diperoleh dari tiga sekolah. Temuan tersebut mengungkapkan tidak semua domain literasi ditemukan dari 15 bahan bacaan di tiga sekolah dasar. Ditemukan di Sekolah C indikator literasi mencapai 43% dan disusul oleh Sekolah B sebesar 13%. Sedangkan Sekolah A juga memiliki persentase yang sama yaitu mencapai 13% dari indikator literasi. Setelah melakukan tahap eksplorasi, peneliti menentukan isi materi dan mengembangkan materi. Lima unit bahan bacaan literasi dihasilkan dari dua tahap tersebut dan setiap unit terdiri dari empat bagian yaitu, Pemanasan, Pelajaran Utama: Mari Membaca, dan Penguatan: Refleksi dan Penyegaran. Tahap selanjutnya adalah validasi produk materi yang dikembangkan melalui expert judgement selama masa konsultasi penelitian ini. Oleh karena itu, materi tersebut dapat digunakan untuk kegiatan membaca 15 menit bagi siswa kelas 6 SD untuk mendukung program gerakan literasi sekolah. The world today demands an individual to be equipped with the literacy skills to face challenges of the twenty-first century. In preparing a good and literate student, the government through Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture proposed The National Literacy Movement is also known as Gerakan Literasi Nasional (GLN) to build the literacy culture in the educational environment (Kemendikbud, 2017). Therefore, this study aims to develop literacies reading materials for 15 minutes reading activity for 6th grader students which consists of 5 required literacies proposed in the policy (Ministry of Education and Culture, 2017) such as: science literacy, numerical literacy, digital literacy, financial literacy, and cultural and civic. Research methods used in this study was research and development by Sukmadinata (2017) adapted model. There were five major phases which include exploration phase, planning, model development phase, product validation, and product revision. The exploration phase is carried out by analysing 15 existing reading books used for 15 minutes reading activity of school literacy movement gained from three elementary schools. The findings revealed not all the literacies domains were found from 15 reading materials of three elementary school. It was found in the School C the literacies indicators reached 43% and it was followed by School B in 13%. While, School A also has the same percentage which reached 13% of the literacies indicators. After doing exploration phase, the researcher determined the content of materials and developed the materials. Five units of literacies reading materials were resulted from those two stages and each unit consists of four sections i.e., Warm Up, Main Lesson: Let’s Read, and Reinforcement: Reflection and Refreshment. The next stage was product validation the developed materials through expert judgment during the consultation period of this study. Therefore, the materials can be used for 15 minutes reading activity for 6th grades elementary students to support school literacy movement program.
