Abstract
Absensi menjadi faktor penting dalam aspek penilaian dalam suatu instansi. Proses absensi yang masih manual pada umumnya tidak efisien dan dapat membuang waktu. Data absensi menjadi tidak terstruktur dan sulit memantau jika terdapat masalah. Proses absensi manual dapat dikembangkan menjadi sistem absensi yang mudah digunakan kapan saja dan dimana saja (mobile). Aplikasi pada ponsel cerdas dapat digunakan sebagai sistem infromasi untuk absensi online dikarenakan smartphone sudah menjadi kebutuhan sekunder untuk setiap orang karena fungsinya yang jauh lebih praktis dan efisien. Pada skripsi ini, pengembangan sistem absensi online berbasis android dikembangkan dengan teori pengembangan perangkat lunak model spiral. Model spiral memiliki empat tahapan pengembangan yang diterapkan yaitu, tahapan komunikasi, tahapan perencanaan, tahapan pemodelan dan desain, tahapan konstruksi dan pembangunan. Sistem absensi online berbasis android berkaitan dengan simulasi sistem admin dan simulasi sistem pengisian KRS. Mahasiswa dapat absen secara online untuk menghasilkan output waktu pada saat absen dan dosen dapat memantau serta mengontrol proses absensi mahasiswa melalui aplikasi android. Attendance becomes a key factor of institute or companys assesment aspect. The manual attendance is generally inefficient and can waste time. The data of attendance also becomes unstructured and difficult to monitor if there is a problem. The manual process of attendance can be developed into an easy-to-use attendance system anytime and anywhere (mobile). Applications on smartphones can be used as an information system for online attendance because the smartphone has become a secondary need for everyone because of its much more practical and efficient functionality. In this thesis, the development of online attendance system based on android developed with the software development method of spiral model. The spiral model has four stages of development that are applied, that is communication phase, planning phase, modelling and design and the last is coding and testing. Android based online attendance system is related to simulation of the admin system and the simulation of the credit entry system. Students can mark their presence online and the output will be the time of their presence and lecturers can monitor and control student attendance process through their android application.
