Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai karakter bangsa yang terkandung dalam buku teks mata pelajaran PPKn SMP kelas VII. Penelitian ini dimulai pada bulan Februari hingga Mei 2017 Metode penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisi isi (content analysis). Teknik analisis isi adalah metode penelitian yang memanfaatkan seperangkat prosedur untuk menarik kesimpulan yang sah dari sebuah buku atau dokumen. Sehingga dalam penelitian ini, teknik analisis isi (content analysis) digunakan untuk mengkaji isi buka siswa mata pelajaran PPKn SMP kelas VII berdasarkan kurikulum 2013 yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai karakter bangsa yang terkandung dan terwujud dalam buku tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa delapan belas nilai karakter bangsa sudah terkandung pada buku siswa mata pelajaran PPKn SMP kelas VII kurikulum 2013, tetapi ada empat nilai karakter bangsa yang muncul pada lembar aktivitas siswa dan bagian refleksi pada buku teks terebut Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah delapan nilai-nilai karakter bangsa sudah terkandung pada buku siswa mata pelajaran PPKn SMP kelas VII, tetapi ada empat nilai karakter bangsa seperti gemar membaca, kreatif, peduli lingkungan dan menghargai prestasi yang muncul pada lembar aktivitas siswa dan bagian refleksi pada buku teks tersebut. This study aims to find out of the nation's character values contained in text books civic education secondary school grade VII. The study began in February to May 2017 This research using content analysis technique method. Content analysis techniques is research methods that utilize a set of procedures to draw legitimate conclusions from a book or document. So in this research, content analysis technique is used to examine the content of students' books subject of PPKn civic education for secondary school grade VII based on curriculum 2013 which aims to describe the character values of the nation contained and manifested in the book. The results show that eighteen national character values are already contained in the students' textbooks of the SMP VII class VII curriculum 2013, but there are four national character values that appear on the student activity sheet and the reflection on the textbook The conclusion of this research is eighteen character values of the nation already contained in the student's book civic education of secondary school grade VII, but there are four of the nation character values like reading, creative, caring environment and appreciate achievement that appear on activity sheet of student and part reflection at the textbook.
