Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi REACT (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, and Transferring) terhadap pemahaman matematis siswa kelas III SD. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN Sukamaju 3, Kecamatan Cilodong Depok. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan instrumen tes uraian. Instrumen tersebut kemudian diuji normalitas dan homogenitas sebagai uji persyaratan data. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis hipotesis menggunakan uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan, diperoleh thitung = 1,94 dengan dk = 64, sedangkan harga ttabel pada taraf signifikan (ɑ) = 0,05 dengan dk = 64 adalah sebesar 1,66. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan tersebut diperoleh bahwa thitung lebih besar dari pada ttabel (1,94 > 1,66), maka artinya hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak dan hipotesis kerja (H1) diterima. Hal ini dapat dinyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan pada penggunaan strategi REACT (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, and Transfering) terhadap pemahaman matematis siswa kelas III SD. Oleh sebab itu, guru perlu mengetahui kemampuan dan kebutuhan siswa sehingga dapat merancang kegiatan yang bervariasi dalam pembelajaran matematika untuk dapat menumbuhkan serta mengembangkan pemahaman matematis siswa kelas III SD. This research was aimed to determined the effect of REACT (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, and Transferring) strategy on the understanding mathematical of 3th grade student. The research was conducted in Sukamaju 3 Depok, Cilodong Public Primary School. The technique of getting the sample was simple random sampling. The method used was the experimental method with pretest-posttest control group design. Data were collected through essay test. The instrumental then tested for normality and homogeneity as a data testing requirements. Futher anayzed using t-tes hypotheses. The result was obtained t = 1,94 with df = 64, while the price of ttable at significance level (ɑ) = 0,05 with df = 64 is equal to 1,66. The results showed that thitung greater than ttabel (1,94 > 1,66), it means that the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the working hypothesis (H1) was accepted. It can be stated that there was a sinificant influencen on REACT (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, and Transferring) strategy on the understanding mathematical of 3th grade student. Therefore, teachers need to know the capabilities and needs of students so that they can design the varied activities in science learning in order to grow and develop the understanding mathematical of 3th grade student’s primary school.
