Abstract
Komposit polimer kolesteril akrilat-ITO merupakan polimer kristal cair kolesteril akrilat yang didopan oleh dopan ITO. Variasi waktu fotopolimerisasi komposit polimer kolesteril akrilat-ITO bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakterisasi dan uji konduktivitas. Fotopolimerisasi dengan radiasi sinar UV dilakukan pada variasi waktu 15, 20, 25, 30, dan 35 menit dengan rentang suhu yang sama yaitu 60-70 . Berdasarkan spektrum FTIR puncak dari menit ke-15 sampai ke-35 mengalami pergeseran kearah gelombang yang besar, hal ini menunjukkan semakin lama waktu fotopolimerisasi PKA-ITO semakin panjang rantai polimer dan terdapat vibrasi ikatan In-OH dan C-O ester yang manandakan interaksi antara PKA dan ITO pada bilangan gelombang 1051,34-1057,11 cm-1 , berdasarkan pola difraksi sinar-X ITO memiliki puncak khas pada daerah 2θ= 35°, 50°, dan 60° dan puncak khas fasa nematik kiral pada daerah 2θ=15-20°, dan berdasarkan SEM-EDX memperlihatkan bahwa sampel terdapat bentuk batang dan bulatan-bulatan, dan mengandung unsur C, O, dan In. Hasil uji konduktivitas menunjukkan nilai konduktivitas tertinggi pada waktu fotopolimerisasi 20 menit sebesar 1,8390 x 10-10 S/m. The composite polymer cholesteryl acrylate-ITO is a polymer liquid crystalline cholesteryl acrylate doped by dopant ITO. Variation of photopolymerization time of polymer composite cholesteryl acrylate-ITO aims to know the characterization and conductivity test. Photopolymerization with UV radiation was performed at 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 minute variations with the same temperature range of 60-70 . Based on the peak FTIR spectrum from the 15th to the 35th minute it shifts towards a large wave number, this indicates the longer time of photopolymerization of PKA-ITO the longer the polymer chain, and there is an In-OH and C-O ester bonding vibration which signifies the interaction between PKA and ITO at wave numbers 1051,34-1057,11 cm-1 , Based on the Xray diffraction pattern ITO has a typical peak at 2θ = 35°, 50°, and 60° and the typical peak of chiral nematic phase at 2θ = 15-20°, and based on SEM-EDX shows that the sample has formed a polymer network and there are spheres other than that containing elements C, O, and In. The results of conductivity test showed the highest conductivity value at the time of photopolymerization of 20 minutes equal to 1.8390 x 10-10 S/m.
