Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui unsur-unsur liberalisme apa saja yang terdapat dalam roman La Chartreuse De Parme karya Stendhal. Unsur liberalisme tersebut terbagi menjadi dua bagian yaitu kebebasan dan kesetaraan. Selanjutnya kebebasan terdiri dari kebebasan individual, natural dan negatif. Kemudian kesetaraan terbagi menjadi kesetaraan politik, ekonomi dan sosial. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode dialektika di mana data dihubungkan dengan latar belakang sosial sejarah. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini ialah analisis strukturalisme genetik dengan menganalisis unsur intrinsik dan unsur ekstrinsik. Dalam menganalisis unsur intrinsik, digunakan alur, penokohan dan latar. Kemudian untuk menganalisis unsur ektrinsik, data berupa biografi pengarang dan latar belakang sosial sejarah. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri dengan membuat tabel data. Dari hasil penelitian, ditemukan lima data yang mengandung kebebasan individual, tiga data kebebasan natural dan delapan data kebebasan negatif. Kemudian ditemukan juga satu data yang mengandung kesetaraan politik, dua data kesetaraan sosial dan tidak ditemukan data yang mengandung kesetaraan ekonomi. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan ilmu tambahan dan sumber referensi bagi mahasiswa di Jurusan Bahasa Prancis Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ). This study aims to determine the elements of liberalism what is contained in the novel La Chartreuse de Parme works of Stendhal. The element of liberalism is divided into two parts, namely freedom and equality. Furthermore, freedom consists of individual freedom, natural and negative. Then divided into equal equal political, economic and social. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The method used in this study is the dialectical method in which data associated with social background history. The approach in this research is the analysis of genetic structuralism to analyze the elements of intrinsic and extrinsic elements. In analyzing the intrinsic elements, used plot, characterization and background. Then to analyze the extrinsic elements, the data in the form of author biographies and background of social history. The instrument of this study is the researchers themselves to create a data table. From the research, it was found that the data contains five individual freedom, the three data of natural freedom and negative freedom to eight data. Later it was found also one that has political equality, social equality and the two data no data was found to contain economic equality. This research is expected to provide additional knowledge and resource for students in the Department of French Language Jakarta State University (UNJ).
