Abstract

Mahasiswa yang sedang skripsi menggunakan kartu bimbingan untuk mencatat waktu dan materi bimbingan dengan dosen pembimbing. Kartu bimbingan skripsi berguna untuk memonitor skripsi yang pada umumnya menggunakan kertas yang dapat beresiko hilang atau rusak dapat dikembangkan menjadi sebuah sistem informasi berbasis web. Pada kajian skripsi ini, sistem informasi monitoring skripsi berbasis web dikembangkan dengan metode pengembangan perangkat lunak model waterfall. Metode pengembangan ini memiliki lima tahap yaitu requirement analysis, system design, implementation, operation and testing, dan maintenance. Pengembangan sistem informasi monitoring skripsi menggunakan framework PHP yaitu codeigniter dan MySQL sebagai basis data. Sistem informasi monitoring skripsi menjadi salah satu cara untuk meminimalisir resiko hilang atau rusaknya kartu bimbingan skripsi, pendataan yang rapih dan mudah direkap menjadi file excel, serta pemberitahuan kepada mahasiswa yang sudah tidak bimbingan paling lama 2 bulan melalui pengiriman email. Pengajuan skripsi dan Pendaftaran ujian dapat juga melalui sistem informasi ini sehingga memudahkan pekerjaan staf admin. Selain itu koordinator program studi dan dosen pembimbing juga dapat memantau perkembangan pengerjaan skripsi mahasiswa. Students who are preparing thesis using guidance card to record time and material guidance with supervisor. Thesis guidance card is useful to monitor the thesis that generally use paper that can be at risk of missing or damaged can be developed into a web-based information system. In this thesis study, web-based thesis monitoring information system was developed by software development method of waterfall model. This development method has five stages: requirement analysis, system design, implementation, operation and testing, and maintenance. Development of information systems monitoring thesis using framework PHP that is codeigniter and MySQL as database. Thesis monitoring information system becomes one way to minimize the risk of missing or damaged thesis supervision card, a neat data collection and easy to be recorded into excel file, and notification to students who have not guidance for a maximum of 2 months via email delivery. Submission of thesis and Registration exam can also through this information system so as to facilitate the work of admin staff. In addition, the program coordinator and supervisor lecturer can also monitor the progress of thesis student work.
