Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa kelas X TITL pada mata pelajaran instalasi listrik antara model pembelajaran discovery dan project based learning dengan rumusan masalah apakah terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa antar penggunaan dua model tersebut dalam pembelajaran. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yakni seluruh siswa kelas X jurusan teknik instalasi listrik sedangkan perlakuan dari treatment dalam penelitian ini diberikan ke pada sampel, dimana sampel diambil secara random dari kelas X TITL yang berjumlah 90 siswa kemudian menggunakan rumus pengambilan sampel sehingga diperoleh jumlah sampel sebanyak 48 untuk dua perlakuan, sehingga masing – masing perlakuan terdiri dari 24 siswa. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini yakni model pembelajaran discovery dan model pembelajaran project based learning, tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa kelas X TITL pada mata pelajaran instalasi listrik antara model discovery dan model project based learning. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini yakni berupa soal pilihan ganda mata pelajaran teknik instalasi listrik rumah sederhana dengan jumlah soal 30 butir, soal diberikan kepada dua kelas perlakuan yang kemudian diberi penilaian dan dilakukan uji baik terhadap soal sebelum diberikan kepada siswa maupun uji untuk mengolah data yang diperoleh. Uji terhadap soal yakni uji butir soal dan data diolah menggunakan distribusi frekuensi, uji normalitas dan uji t-test. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t diperoleh thitung = 1.79 pada taraf signifikansi α = 0.05 dan derajat kebebasan 47 diperoleh ttabel = 1.67 , maka nilai thitung berada di daerah penerimaan H1 diterima dan H0 ditolek. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa rata – rata hasil belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar dengan menggunkan model pembelajaran project based learning. The purpose of this study to determine the differences in the results of class X student TITL on the subjects of electrical installations between discovery learning model and project based learning with the formulation of the problem if there is a difference in student learning outcomes between the use of these two models in learning. The population in this study the whole class X engineering electrical installation while the treatment of treatment in this study was given to the samples, where samples were taken randomly from class X TITL the 90 students then use the formula of sampling in order to obtain the number a sample of 48 for the two treatments, so that each - each treatment consisted of 24 students. The treatment in this study the model of discovery learning and project based learning model of learning, the goal of this study to determine differences in the results of class X student TITL on subjects discovery electrical installation between the model and the modeln project based learning. Instruments in this study in the form of multiple choice questions subjects engineering electrical installation simple house with a number of about 30 eggs, the matter was given to two classes of treatment were then given ratings and the test well to the matter before it is given to students and test to process the data obtained. Test the matter of the test items and the data were processed using frequency distribution, normality test and t-test. Hypothesis testing using t-test obtained t = 1.70 at significance level α = 0.05 and degrees of freedom 47 obtained table = 1.67, then tcount located in the reception area and a H0 ditolek H1 accepted. This shows that the average - average result of learning using discovery learning model is higher than that of learning by using learning model of project-based learning. In learning by discovery learning honed ability to reason more students because students are always in the stimulus to be able to "find" the teaching materials when students can conduct "discovery" they do not just know but can understand the material thoroughly. In starting a teaching and learning activities, the selection method of learning what it is to be used should be noted that the main goal is for students to understand the material can be accomplished.
