Abstract

Penelitian dalam ranah penerjemahan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi baru yang berkaitan dengan teknik-teknik penerjemahan yang digunakan mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Traduction. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga berfokus pada teknik penerjemahan yang paling dominan digunakan mahasiswa dalam menerjemahkan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deksriptif kualitatif dengan menganalisis hasil terjemahan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertumpu pada tujuh teknik penerjemahan menurut Vinay dan Darbelnet yaitu teknik pinjaman, tiruan, literal, transposisi, modulasi, adaptasi, ekuivalensi dan adaptasi yang didukung oleh ahli teori lainnya. Adapun tahapan analisis yang ditempuh yaitu memilah kalimat-kalimat yang telah diterjemahkan, lalu mengidentifikasi dan mengkategorikan setiap kalimat ke dalam tujuh teknik penerjemahan. Data yang diperoleh disajikan dalam bentuk tabel analisis. Langkah selanjutnya menginterpretasikan data sesuai teori acuan dan melakukan penarikan kesimpulan. Maka dari data tersebut diperoleh hasil dengan rincian sebagai berikut: teknik literal dan pinjaman ditemukan dalam 52 data, selanjutnya teknik modulasi sebanyak 72 data dan yang terakhir, teknik transposisi sebanyak 224 data. Dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa dari ketujuh teknik tersebut, teknik transposisi adalah teknik penerjemahan yang paling banyak digunakan oleh mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Traduction. Hampir seluruh kalimat yang memiliki nomina jamak dalam bahasa Prancis selalu diterjemahkan menjadi nomina tunggal dalam bahasa Indonesia. Adapun teknik penerjemahan lainnya yaitu tiruan, adaptasi, dan ekuivalensi tidak ditemukan pada teks terjemahan mahasiswa. The research in the field of translation aims to provide the information related to the technics of translation of French students in the course of Translation. In addition, this research focuses also to the technics dominant used by the students in translating the texts. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method that analyses the works of translation of the students. This research relies on the techniques of translations according to Vinay and Darbelnet, which are, the borrowing technic, calque technic, literal technic, transposition technic, modulation technic, adaptation technic, and equivalence technic. The steps of analyzing are sorting the translated sentences, then identifying and classifying every sentences into the theories of translation. The data classified is presented in form of table of analyses. The next step is interpreting the data according to the theories and withdrawing a conclusion. Thus by the data, the result obtained that the literal technic with 52 data’s and the borrowing technic data’s, then the modulation technic with 72 data’s and transposition technic with 224 data’s. The data’s result can withdraw that the most used technic of translation of the French student in the course of Translation is the transposition technic because almost every sentences which has the nouns plural in French are always translated to noun singular in Indonesian. Then, the others technics of translation which are the calque technique, the adaptation technique, and the equivalence technic are not found in the work of translation of the students.
