Abstract

Variasi mengajar memiliki peran penting sebagai cara efektif untuk membantu murid memahami konsep dan focus dalam menyediakan peluang bagi mereka. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menganalisa variasi mengajar di ruang kelas yang digunakan oleh 3 mahasiswa PKM dari Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Inggris UNJ pada tahun 2013. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan metode kualitatif untuk mendefinisikan bahwa prosedur dari hasil tidak datang dari prosedur statistical atau cara kuantifikasi lainnya. Data dari penelitian ini adalah Salinan hasil rekaman interaksi dalam kelas dan sebagai instrumen penelitian penulis memakai observasi kelas yang dilaksanakan pada 5 pertemuan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata komponen dari variasi mengajar ditemukan di ketiga mahasiswa PKM, namun hanya satu mahasiswa yang menggunakan kesebelas komponennya. Secara detil, ditemukan 283 variasi suara yang digunakan ketiga partisipan yang mana keluar sebagai komponen paling bervariasi. Sementara itu, taktil dan tugas grup kecil adalah komponen paling tidak bervariasi dikarenakan mereka hanya digunakan dalam skala minimum dalam kelas. Dapat disebutan bahwa variasi mengajar sebagai alat untuk menarik perhatian siswa masih belum dianggap substansial oleh para mahasiswa PKM. Teaching variation has an important role as the effective way to help students understand a concept and to focus on providing opportunities. This research was based on a study was attempted to analyze teaching variation in the classroom used by 3 English Department PKM students years 2013 State University of Jakarta in SMP Negeri 139 and SMP Negeri 97 Jakarta. In this study, qualitative research was used to define that the procedures finding was not arrived at by statistical procedures or other means of quantification. The data were the components of teaching style variations found in classroom interaction recordings’ extracts and the researcher used classroom observation as the instrument. The observation was conducted for three teachers and the researcher observed five meetings in one classroom. The result of the study showed that average of the components of teaching’s style variation were found in three English Department PKM students, however only one student employed all eleven components. The findings in detail, it was found 283 voice variations used by three participants which resulted as the most varied components. Meanwhile, tactile and small-group working came out as the least varied components since there were only minimum use for each of those variations. It is suggested that teaching variations as the mean for gaining students attraction available were not considered that substantial by the PKM students.
