Abstract

Seni lukis banyak dianggap sebagai seni konfensional sehingga terlihat sangat umum, namun perupa ingin memberikan kesan berbeda terhadap seni lukis dengan mengangkat kembali seni lukis dalam ranah modern untuk mempertahankan seni lukis itu sendiri dalam ranah seni masa kini. Aliran realis digunakan perupa dalam karya seni ini sebagai pendukung aliran seni dan tema yang perupa ambil. Realis sendiri memiliki arti visual yang mencerminkan keadaan sesungguhnya. Ketertarikan perupa terhadap singa memberikan kesan tersendiri pada perupa. Singa memiliki ciri khas yang berbeda dengan hewan lainnya, salah satunya singa jantan memiliki surai di bagian leher yang banyak diartikan sebagai simbol kekuatan. Singa betina sebagai pemburu yang kuat dan lincah. Perupa menggunakan beberapa teori dalam proses penciptaan karya seni rupa, diantaranya teori seni lukis, seni lukis modern, aliran dan tokoh seni lukis realis, serta semiotika visual dan keindahan untuk menguatkan dan menghasilkan karya sesuai dengan yang perupa pilih. Beberapa keterampilan yang harus dimiliki perupa dalam memenuhi kriteria keberhasilan lukis realis adalah faktor pribadi yaitu kemampuan yang dimiliki seperti ketajaman mata, kepekaan cahaya, ukuran perspektif, literatur anatomi dan keahlian teknik operasional dalam melukis. Alat dan bahan yang digunakan oleh perupa adalah cat minyak, kanvas, kuas, palet, dan minyak cat. Tujuan utama perupa adalah untuk memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat tentang keunikan dan karakter singa dalam bentuk visual karya seni lukis guna meningkatkan apresiasi masyarakat terhadapt seni modern, serta memancing respon dan empati masyarakat terhadap populasi singa sebagai hewan lindung yang semakin menurun dengan lukis aliran realis. Painting is widely regarded as a conventional art so it looks very common, but artists want to give a different impression to the painting by lifting the painting in the modern world to maintain the art itself in the realm of art today. Realist flow is used by artists in this artwork as a supporter of the flow of art and themes that artists take. Realists themselves have a visual meaning that reflects the real state. The attraction of the artist to the lion gives a special impression to the artist. Lions have different characteristics with other animals, one male lion has a mane on the neck that many interpreted as a symbol of strength. The lioness as a strong and lively hunter. Artists use several theories in the process of creating works of art, such as the theory of painting, modern painting, the flow and figures of realist painting, as well as visual and beauty semiotics to strengthen and produce works in accordance with the select artist. Some of the skills that artists must possess in meeting the criteria of realist painting success are personal factors such as the ability of the eye, light sensitivity, perspective size, anatomical literature and operational engineering skills in painting. Tools and materials used by artists are oil paints, canvas, brushes, pallets, and paint oils. The artist's main goal is to inform the public about the uniqueness and character of the lion in the visual form of painting in order to increase the public appreciation of modern art, as well as provoke the community's response and empathy to the lion population as a declining animal with a realist flow.
