Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian sistem penangkal petir di Universitas Negeri Jakarta Kampus A Sektor A dengan Peraturan Menteri Tenaga Kerja Republik Indonesia nomor: PER.02/MEN/1989, Peraturan Umum Instalasi Penangkal Petir (PUIPP) dan SNI 03-7015-2004. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret-Desember 2016. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode survey dengan cara observasi. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu teknik sampling jenuh, dimana semua anggota populasi menjadi sampel. Sehingga sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh penangkal petir eksternal yang dimiliki oleh Universitas Negeri Jakarta Kampus A Sektor A. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk area sektor A hanya terdapat 2 gedung yang memiliki sistem penangkal petir dan kedua sistem penangkal petir tersebut merupakan penangkal petir aktif. Kondisi instalasi sistem penangkal petir pada tiap gedung adalah hampir seluruhnya sudah sesuai dengan standar yang digunakan yaitu Peraturan Menteri Tenaga Kerja Republik Indonesia nomor: PER.02/MEN/1989, PUIPP tahun 1983 dan SNI 03-7015-2004. Besar nilai tahanan pentanahan pada masing-masing gedung tidak melebihi batas yang ditentukan yaitu sebesar 5 Ω. Berdasarkan uji konektifitas yang dilakukan, seluruh sistem penangkal petir yang terpasang masih dalam kondisi tersambung dan berfungsi. Berdasarkan sistem penangkal petir yang terpasang, radius perlindungannya tidak melindungi seluruh area sektor A. Hanya beberapa gedung saja yang terlindungi yaitu gedung Syafei, gedung parkiran motor, gedung CWNB dan masjid Nurul Irfan. Selain dari gedung-gedung tersebut belum seluruhnya terlindungi. This study aims to determine the suitability of lightning protection system at the Jakarta State University Campus A Sector A with the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia number: PER.02 / MEN / 1989, General Rules of Installation Lightning (PUIPP) and SNI 03-7015-2004. This research was conducted in March-December 2016. This research is a descriptive research by using survey method in observation way. The sampling technique used in this study is saturated sampling technique, in which all members of the population being sampled. Thus, the samples in this study are the entire external lightning which is owned by the Jakarta State University Campus A Sector A. Based on the results of this research concluded that for areas A sector there are only two buildings have lightning protection system and the lightning protection system is an active lightning rod. Lightning protection system installation conditions at each building is almost entirely been in accordance with the standards used are the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia number: PER.02/MEN/1989, PUIPP 1983 and SNI 03-7015-2004. Great grounding resistance value on each of the building does not exceed the limit specified at 5 Ω. Based on the connectivity test has done, all installed lightning protection system is still in a state connected and functional. Based on the lightning protection system installed, radius protection did not protect all the areas of the sector A. Only a few buildings are protected, namely Syafei building, motorcycle parking building, CWNB building and Nurul Irfan mosque. Besides these buildings have not entirely were protected.
