Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas menulis ekspresif terhadap peningkatan harga diri pada korban kekerasan dalam pacaran. Harga diri diukur denga skala Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian Two Group Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Kelompok eksperimen diberikan perlakuan instruksi menulis ekspresif dan pada kelompok kontrol tidak diberikan perlakuan apapun dan para partisipan mengisi skala Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale sebanyak dua kali. Partisipan merupakan 12 orang perempuan dewasa awal dengan rentang usia 18-25 tahun yang telah menjadi korban kekerasan dalam pacaran. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan asymp.sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,027 lebih kecil dari α=0,05 sehingga kegiatan menulis ekspresif efektif dalam meningkatkan harga diri pada korban kekerasan dalam pacaran This study aims to determine the effectiveness of expressive writing on increasing self-esteem in victims of dating violence. The self-esteem is measured by the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. This research uses quasi-experimental method with the research design of Two Group Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The experimental group was given expressive writing instruction treatment and in the control group was not given any treatment and the participants filled the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale two times. Participants are 12 early adult women with age range 18-25 years who have been victims of dating violence. Hypothesis test results using the Wilcoxon test showed asymp.sig (2-tailed) of 0.027 smaller than α = 0.05 therefore expressive writing activities are effective in increasing self-esteem in victims of dating violence.
