Abstract

Karya Ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kebijakan pemerintah terhadap perfilman Indonesia pada masa Orde Baru (1967-1980) dan dampaknya bagi perfilman Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan sejarah yang ingin melihat dinamika kehidupan perfilman di Indonesia pada masa Orde Baru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sejarah dengan penyajian data hasil penelitian berbentuk deskriptif naratif yang lebih banyak menguraikan kajian dalam dimensi ruang dan waktu. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa sejak awal tahun 1967 hingga tahun 1980 pemerintah Orde Baru mengeluarkan sejumlah kebijakan guna mendukung pertumbuhan film nasional sekaligus melindunginya dari tekanan film import yang masuk ke Indonesia. Di satu sisi sejumlah kebijakan ini mampu membantu perkembangan film nasional namun di sisi lain hal ini menjadi sebuah alat bagi pemerintah untuk mengontrol perfilman di Indonesia agar sejalan dengan haluan pemerintah. Scientific paper aims to describe the government's policy towards Indonesian films during the the New Order era (1967-1980) and their impact on Indonesian films. ` This research is done with historical approach which want to see the dynamics of film ups in Indonesia in the New Order. This study uses historical method with the presentation of data descriptive research results narrative that more describes the study in the dimension of space and time. The results concluded that since the beginning of 1967 until 1980 the New Order government issued a number of policies to support the growth of national films as well as protect it from the pressure of imported films into Indonesia. On the one hand a number of these policies are able to assist the development of national films but on the other hand it becomes a tool for the government to control the film in Indonesia in line with the direction of the government.
