Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data dan fakta yang valid tentang hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan kecerdasan emosional siswa kelas X Akuntansi di SMK Negeri 44 Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survey dengan pendekatan korelasional. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Maret sampai dengan bulan April 2014. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMK Negeri 44 Jakarta. Populasi terjangkau dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X Akuntansi yang berjumlah 70 siswa. Jumlah sampel yang dijadikan penelitian adalah 58 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu teknik acak proporsional. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian berbentuk kuesioner berjumlah 40 butir untuk pola asuh orang tua dan 42 butir untuk variabel kecerdasan emosional. Dari uji persyaratan analisis yang dilakukan, data dinyatakan berdistribusi normal dan linier dengan persamaan regresiŶ = 69,96 + 0,71X. Data dinyatakan normal karena hasil dari Lhitung < Ltabel dengan jumlah Lhitung sebesar 0,0525 dan Ltabel dengan taraf signifikan 5% serta n= 58 orang maka 0,1163. Berdasarkan uji linieritas regresi, didapatkan hasil data berbentuk linier yaitu hasil fhitung < ftabel dengan hasil perhitungan fhitung sejumlah 1,40 dan ftabel sebesar 1,90. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis, untuk uji keberartian regresi didapatkan hasil data bahwa regresi diperoleh memiliki keberartian atau signifikan yaitu hasil perhitungan didapatkan bahwa Fhitung > Ftabel dengan Fhitung sebesar 15,22 dan Fhitung sebesar 4,00. Uji koefisien korelasi didapatkan dari hasil perhitungan bahwa rxy sebesar 0,4577 yang artinya bahwa terdapat hubungan yang cukup kuat antara pola asuh orang tua dengan kecerdasan emosional siswa. Berdasarkan uji keberartian koefisien korelasi (uji-t) didapatkan hasil bahwa thitung sebesar 3,851 dengan ttabel pada n-2 (58-2) = 1,671, hal ini berarti terdapat hubungan yang signifikan di antara kedua variabel karena hasil thitung > ttabel. Berdasarkan perhitungan koefisien determinasi untuk kedua variabel menghasilkan 0,2095 atau sebesar 20,95% yang artinya hal ini berarti bahwa sebesar 20,95% pola asuh orang tua dapat mempengaruhi kecerdasan emosional siswa sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak dijelaskan dalam penelitian ini. This research was aimed to obtain valid and reliable data about the relationship between parenting style and emotional quotient on students X Accounting class 44 State Vocational High School Jakarta. This research was conducted by survey method with correlational approach. This research was conducted on Maret to April 2014. The population in this research were all students at 44 State Vocational High School in Jakarta. Affordable population in this research were the students in X Accounting class, amount to 70 students. Total of samples used were 58 students research. Sampling technique used proportional random sampling. The instrument used in this study form of a questionnaire with 40 statements to variable of parenting style and 42 statements to variabel of emotional quotient. Based on test requirements analysis, the data is normally distributed by linier regretion equation Ŷ = 69,96 + 0,71X. Data were expressed normally as a result of Lcount < Ltable the number Lcount of 0,0525 and with a significant level of 5 % and n = 58 then Ltable 0,1163 . Based on the regression linearity test , the data showed that the results of the linear form of Fcount < Ftable with the results of the calculation of Fcount of 1,40 and Ftabel 1,90. Based on hypothesis testing, regression to test the significance of the data showed that regression has significance or significant that the calculation results showed that the Fcount > Ftable with Fcount of 15,22 and Ftable of 4,00. Correlation coefficient test results obtained from the calculations that rxy of 0,4577, which means that there is a strong relationship between parenting style with students emotional quotient. Based on the correlation coefficient significance test showed that tcount of 3,851 with ttable on n - 2 (58-2) = 1.671, this means that there is a significant relationship between the two variables as the result of tcount > ttable. Based on the calculation of the coefficient of determination for both variables produce 0.2095 or 20,95 % , which means it is 20,95 % means that the parenting style can affect students emotional quotient , while the remaining is influenced by other variables that are not described in this research.
