Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi bertahan hidup yang dilakukan oleh para pedagang kantin sekolah dalam upaya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan keluarga selama masa pandemi COVID-19. Dalam penelitian ini metode yang digunakan ialah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Untuk menggali informasi terkait rumusan masalah, peneliti melakukan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara,studi kepustakaan, observasi dan dokumentasi.Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Pengelola Kantin Sekolah dan pedagang kantin sekolah. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa untuk dapat bertahan hidup serta memenuhi kebutuhan keluarga selama masa pandemi covid-19 para pedagang kantin sekolah tidak hanya melakukan satu strategi saja tetapi dengan melakukan beberapa gabungan cara atau strategi. Pada umumnya strategi yang dilakukan oleh para pedagang kantin adalah dengan melakukan strategi aktif dan strategi pasif, tetapi ada juga beberapa informan yang melakukan strategi jaringan. Strategi Aktif yang dilakukan yaitu berupa 1) melakukan perkerjaan lain untuk tetap mendapatkan penghasilan, 2) memanfaatkan peran anggota keluarga dan 3) menggunakan tabungan yang dimiliki. Untuk Strategi Pasif yang digunakan adalah dengan meminimalisir pengeluaran. Sedangkan Strategi jaringan yang dilakukan yaitu 1) meminjam uang, 2) mengutang ke warung serta 3) memanfaatkan program bantuan yang diberikan oleh pemerintah ***** This study aims to find out how the survival strategies are carried out by school canteen traders to meet family needs during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this research, the method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. To explore information related to the formulation of the problem, the researchers collected data through interviews, literature study, observation and documentation. The subjects in this study were the School Canteen Manager and 7 informants who were school canteen traders. The results of the study show that to survive and meet the needs of families during the COVID-19 pandemic, school canteen traders do not only do one strategy but also do several combinations of methods or strategies. In general, the strategy used by canteen traders is to use an active strategy and a passive strategy, but some informants use a network strategy. The active strategies carried out are in the form of 1) doing other work to keep earning, 2) utilizing the role of family members, and 3) using savings. The passive strategy used is to minimize expenses. Meanwhile, the network strategy carried out is 1) borrowing money, 2) borrowing from stalls, and 3) utilizing the assistance program provided by the government.
