Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi nilai gotong royong yang ada pada tradisi baritan masyarakat Sunda dan mengetahui penguatan nilai gotong royong yang ada pada tradisi baritan masyarakat Sunda. Penelitian ini berlokasi di Kampung Kranggan Kelurahan Jatirangga, Kecamatan Jatisampurna, Bekasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode etnografi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada yakni observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dari hasil wawancara kemudian di transkip secara apa adanya, kemudian direduksi serta dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis Miles and Huberman. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 11 orang yang melibatkan 3 orang masyarakat pribumi, 3 orang masyarakat pendatang Kampung Kranggan sebagai Infoman, 4 orang Key Informan dan 1 Expert Opinion. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret sampai dengan Juni 2022. Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukan bahwa (i) Implementasi nilai gotong royong pada tradisi baritan terjadi melalui empat kegiatan yaitu rapat pertemuan, memasak, persiapan pelaksanaan tradisi, dan makan bersama. Empat hal di atas mengandung nilai gotong royong seperti nilai musyawarah, nilai solidaritas, nilai kebersamaan, dan nilai keperdulian antar sesama. (ii) Penguatan nilai gotong royong dalam tradisi baritan dapat dilakukan melalui pelestarian tradisi, sosialisasi, dan keterlibatan pihak pemerintah. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa nilai gotong royong pada masyarakat Kampung Kranggan terjadi melalui empat kegiatan yang ada pada tradisi baritan yaitu rapat pertemuan, memasak, persiapan tradisi, dan makan bersama dan kegiatan dalam tradisi baritan merupakan sarana untuk menguatkan nilai gotong royong pada masyarakat Kampung Kranggan. Penelitian ini berimplikasi bagi masyarakat pribumi Kampung Kranggan yang bersikap lebih terbuka kepada masyarakat pendatang dan bagi masyarakat pendatang lebih aktif berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan gotong royong tradisi baritan. Dengan adanya kegiatan gotong royong pada tradisi baritan masyarakat Kampung Kranggan terlihat lebih menyatu karena adanya peningkatan interaksi terhadap keduanya sehingga bisa terciptanya kehidupan yang bergotong royong pada masyarakat Kampung Kranggan. ***** This study aims to determine the implementation of the value of gotong royong in the baritan of the Sundanese people and to know the strengthening of the value of gotong royong in the baritan of the Sundanese people. This research is located in Kranggan Village, Jatirangga Village, Jatisampurna District, Bekasi. This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. Data collection techniques used in the observation, interviews, and documentation. The data from the interviews were then transcribed as is, then reduced and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman. The number of respondents in this study amounted to 11 people involving 3 indigenous people, 3 immigrants from Kranggan Village as Informants, 4 Key Informants and 1 Expert Opinion. This research was conducted from March to June 2022. The results showed that (i) The implementation of the value of gotong royong in the baritan occurred through four activities, namely meetings, cooking, preparation for the implementation of traditions, and eating together. The four things above contain the value of mutual cooperation such as the value of deliberation, the value of solidarity, the value of togetherness, and the value of caring for each other. (ii) Strengthening the value of gotong royong in the baritan can be done through tradition preservation, socialization, and involvement of the government. The conclusion of this study is that the value of gotong royong in the Kranggan village community occurs through four activities that exist in the baritan tradition, namely meetings, cooking, traditional preparation, and eating together and activities in the baritan are a means to strengthen the value of gotong royong in the Kranggan village community. This research has implications for the indigenous people of Kranggan Village who are more open to the immigrant community and for the immigrant community to be more active in participating in the baritan. With the existence of mutual cooperation activities in the baritan people of Kampung Kranggan look more united because of their presence increased interaction between the two so that they can create a life of mutual cooperation in the people of Kampung Kranggan
