Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangin bahwa pencak silat adalah budaya asli bangsa indonesia yang harus dilestarikan dan terus dikembangkan. Dilihat dari latihan siswa ekstrakurikuler pencak silat SMA Taman Madya 5 jakarta dimana siswa melakukan latihan dengan secara klasikal atau bersama sama dan tanpa mengunakan media tembahan, tampak terlihat siswa tidak fokus dalam melakukan latihan gerakan teknik tendangan lurus, siswa sering kali bercanda dengan temannya dan melakukan teknik tendangan yang tidak maksimal, sehingga bentuk tendanganpun tidak terbentuk dengan baik dan tujuan latihanpun tidak tercapai dengan baik. Peneliti membuat tendangan model latihan tendangan lurus berbasis media karet yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan model latihan yang maksimal. **** The The background of this research is that pencak silat is the original culture of the indonesia nation that must be preserved and continuusly devoloped. Judging from that practice of extracurricular pencak silat students at SMA Taman Madya 5 Jakarta whare students do exercises classiically or tugether and without using additional media, it seems that students do not focus on practicing straight kick technique mevoment, students often joke with their frieds and do kick techniques which is not optomal, so that the form of the kick is not well formed and the training objective are not achieved properly. The researcher made a straight kich exercise model based on learning media which aims to find out the models
