Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna kolokat dari kata Coronavirus dalam sepuluh artikel berita pada portal berita daring Tagesschau dari tanggal 27 Februari sampai 29 Oktober 2020. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan analisis semantis. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan bantuan linguistik korpus dengan perangkat lunak Antconc. Hasilnya ditemukan 26 kolokat yang melekat pada kata Coronavirus, kolokat tersebut terdiri dari 15 Subtantiv, 6 Adjektiv dan 5 Verben. Hasil makna kolokat kata Coronavirus cenderung menjelaskan tentang virus corona, atau Covid-19, yang menyebar dengan cepat dan luas dan menginfeksi banyak orang, hingga menimbulkan korban jiwa. Kolokat-kolokat yang mendampingi kata Coronavirus cenderung dimaknai dengan makna aslinya, namun dalam konteks yang berhubungan dengan virus corona. Beberapa kolokat yang berkolokasi dengan kata Coronavirus digunakan untuk menggantikan frasa „orang yang terinfeksi virus corona,‟ seperti kolokasi Coronavirus+Infektionen dan Coronavirus+Fall. Terdapat juga beberapa kolokat yang menjelaskan dampak virus corona pada perekonomian dan masyarakat, yaitu kekhawatiran mereka akan tertular virus mematikan ini. This study aims to determine the meaning of collocates of the word Coronavirus in ten news articles on the online news portal Tagesschau from February 27 to October 29, 2020. This study is a descriptive qualitative study with semantic analysis. Research data were collected with the help of corpus linguistics with Antconc software. The result found 26 colloquial attached to the word Coronavirus, the collocate consists of 15 nouns, 6 adjectives and 5 verbs. The result of the colloquial meaning of the word Coronavirus tends to explain the corona virus, or Covid-19, which spreads quickly and widely and infects many people, causing fatalities. The colloquialities that accompany the word Coronavirus tend to be interpreted with their original meaning, but in a context related to the corona virus. Some collocates with the word Coronavirus are used to replace the phrase "people infected with the corona virus," such as the collocations Coronavirus+Infection and Coronavirus+Fall. There are also several colloquialisms that explain the impact of the corona virus on the economy and society, namely their fear of contracting this deadly virus.
