Abstract

Universitas Negeri Jakarta memiliki entitas masyarakat yang didalamnya terdiri dari berbagai identitas sosial. Penulis ingin mencari tahu kebenaran apakah aspek toleransi dapat dipengaruhi oleh suatu pertukaran sosial yang terjadi lewat interaksi antar individu. Penulis memilih mengadakan penelitian didalam Fakultas Ilmu Sosial. Sasaran penelitian yang dituju ialah mahasiswa angkatan 2018 karena lebih mudah dijangkau dan sasaran tepat dalam mengukur eksistensi toleransi selaras dengan tindakan pertukaran yang dilakukan antar sesama makhluk sosial yang sebentar lagi akan lulus masa perkuliahan. Mahasiswa tingkat akhir memiliki kesibukan masing-masing yang berbeda, maka pergaulan yang dialami pun bisa mengarah pada peningkatan atau penurunan kualitas dan kuantitas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menemukan pengaruh antara pertukaran sosial dan sikap toleransi di lingkungan perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Variabel pada penelitian ini yaitu, Intensitas Pertukaran Sosail (variabel X) dan Sikap Toleransi (variabel Y). Pengumpulan data, analisis, dan penulisan laporan skripsi dimulai pada bulan Februari hingga Agustus tahun 2022. Teknik sampling yang digunakan ialah non-probability sampling dengan jenis accidental sampling. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 118 mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dari populasi mahasiswa angkatan 2018 sebanyak 615 orang. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebar kuesioner yang terdiri dari 62 butir pertanyaan melalui daring (link Google Form) dan tatap muka (mendatangi fakultas). Pengolahan dan analisis data menggunakan aplikasi Microsoft Excel dan IBM SPSS Statistics 25. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan inferensial, dalam hal ini bertumpu pada analisis Regresi Linear Sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh antara variabel Intensitas Pertukaran Sosial (X) terhadap variabel Sikap Toleransi (Y) dengan persamaan statistik Y= 11,775 + 0,868X, diterjemahkan jika nilai konsistensi variabel Sikap Toleransi sebesar 11,775 dan koefisien regresi Intensitas Pertukaran Sosial sebesar 0,868 (bernilai positif). Ditemukan bahwa variabel independen Intensitas Pertukaran Sosial memberikan pengaruh sebesar 39,4% terhadap variabel dependen Sikap Toleransi. Sedangkan sisanya yaitu sebesar 60,6% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diuji dalam penelitian. Signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 dan t hitung sebesar 7,477 > t tabel 1,988. Dengan demikian, Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. ***** Jakarta State University has a community entity which consists of various social identities. The author wants to find out the truth whether the aspect of tolerance can be influenced by a social exchange that occurs through interactions between individuals. The author chose to conduct research in the Faculty of Social Sciences. The intended research target is 2018 class students because it is easier to reach and the right target in measuring the existence of tolerance is in line with exchange actions carried out between fellow social beings who will soon pass the lecture period. Final year students have different busy lives, so the association they experience can lead to an increase or decrease in quality and quantity. The purpose of this study was to find the effect of social exchange and tolerance in a university environment. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The variables in this study are the intensity of social exchange (variable X) and attitude of tolerance (variable Y). The data collection, analysis, and thesis report writing started from February to August 2022. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with a accidental sampling type. The sample of this study consisted of 118 students of the Faculty of Social Sciences from the student population of the class of 2018 as many as 615 people. The data collection process was carried out by distributing questionnaires consisting of 62 questions via online (Google Form link) and face-to-face (visiting the faculty). Processing and analyzing data using Microsoft Excel and IBM SPSS Statistics 25 applications. The data analysis technique uses descriptive and inferential analysis, in this case based on Simple Linear Regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence between the Social Exchange Intensity (X) variable on the Tolerance Attitude variable (Y) with the statistical equation Y= 11.775 + 0.868X, translated if the consistency value of the Tolerance Attitude variable is 11.775 and the regression coefficient of Social Exchange Intensity is 0.868 (worth positive). It was found that the independent variable of Social Exchange Intensity had an effect of 39.4% on the dependent variable of Tolerance Attitude. While the remaining 60.6% is influenced by other variables not tested in the study. Significance 0.000 <0.05 and t count of 7.477 > t table 1.988. Thus, Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.
