Abstract
Penyu sisik (Eretmochelys imbricata) merupakan salah satu spesies penyu yang memiliki ciri khas moncong berbentuk paruh yang pada saat ini keberadaannya semakin terancam, populasinya semakin menurun. Penurunan populasi ini terjadi akibat perkembangan pesisir, hilangnya habitat, perburuan, hewan predator serta faktor kondisi lingkungan sarang seperti kedalaman sarang dan densitas telur yang ditanam. Perlu dilakukan upaya relokasi atau pemindahan telur penyu ke sarang semi alami sebagai salah satu upaya konservasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kedalaman sarang dan densitas telur terhadap keberhasilan penetasan telur dan kesintasan tukik penyu sisik di pelestarian semi alami, Pulau Sabira. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah metode semi eksperimen dengan perlakuan kedalaman sarang sebesar 30 cm, 45 cm, dan 60 cm, dan densitas telur sebanyak 14 dan 21 butir. Data persentase penetasan dan sintasan dianalisis menggunakan uji Kruskal-Wallis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedalaman sarang 30 cm, 45 cm dan 60 cm dengan kepadatan telur yang berbeda tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap keberhasilan penetasan telur dan kualitas tukik penyu sisik di pelestarian semi alami Pulau Sabira. Kedalaman sarang 30 cm dan 40 cm cenderung memiliki persentase keberhasilan penetasan yang lebih baik dibandingkan kedalaman sarang 60 cm. ***** Hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) is one of the turtle species that has a characteristic beak-shaped snout which is currently increasingly threatened, its population is decreasing. Thi population decline occurs due to coastal development, loss of habitat, hunting, predatory animals and other factors nest environmental conditions such as depth nests and egg density. It is necessary to make efforts to relocate or transfer turtle eggs to semi-natural nests as one of the conservation efforts. This study aims to determine the effect of nest depth and egg density on the success of hatching eggs and the survival of hawksbill hatchlings in semi-natural conservation, Sabira Island . The research method used was a semiexperimental method with nest depths of 30 cm, 45 cm, and 60 cm, and egg densities of 14 and 21 eggs . The hatchery percentage and survival data were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis. The results showed that nest depths of 30 cm, 45 cm and 60 cm with different egg densities did not give real influence on success hatching egg and hatchlings quality of the hawksbill in the semi-natural preservation of Sabira Island. Nest depths of 30 cm and 40 cm tend to have a better percentage of hatching success than depths of 60 cm.
