Abstract
Kenikir (Cosmos caudatus Kunth) merupakan salah satu jenis sayuran indigenous yang berpotensi untuk dibudidayakan sebagai sayuran alternatif yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisi dan bermanfaat sebagai obat tradisional. Usaha peningkatan perkecambahan dan teknik budidaya kenikir dapat dilakukan dengan teknik hidroponik dengan penambahan pupuk organik. Limbah kulit pisang kepok dan bawang merah berpotensi dijadikan sebagai pupuk organik cair yang dapat mengurangi penggunaan pupuk anorganik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) nilai daya kecambah benih Kenikir ‘Aswana IPB’ dan Kenikir ‘Konikir’; (2) kandungan kimia penyusun POC; (3) pengaruh pengaplikasian POC terhadap respon toksisitas pada benih kenikir; (4) konsentrasi POC yang efektif untuk pertumbuhan optimum kenikir; dan (5) pengaruh POC terhadap hasil panen kenikir. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan yaitu: (A0) AB mix = 1024 ppm (Kontrol); (A1) Pemberian POC 4,76%; (A2) Pemberian POC 6,54%; (A3) Pemberian POC 8,25%. Data kualitatif dianalisis secara deskriptif dan data kuantitatif dianalisis dengan Anova satu arah pada taraf 5%. Jika terdapat beda nyata, maka dilakukan uji lanjut DMRT pada selang kepercayaan 5% dengan program SPSS 20. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daya kecambah benih Kenikir ‘Aswana IPB’ dan Kenikir ‘Konikir’ memiliki nilai viabilitas dan vigor yang tidak berbeda nyata. POC kulit pisang kepok dan bawang merah mengandung nitrogen (0,21%), fosfor (0,04%), kalium (0,35%), dan C-organik (0,61%) namun belum memenuhi standar yang ditetapkan. POC 1:100 tidak mengandung zat fitotoksisitas bagi tanaman. POC 4,76% menjadi konsentrasi optimum dalam meningkatkan tinggi tanaman dan kadar klorofil b, sedangkan POC 6,54% optimum untuk meningkatkan jumlah serta lebar daun kenikir, namun pemberian POC kulit pisang kepok dan bawang merah tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil panen kenikir. **** Kenikir (Cosmos caudatus Kunth) is indigenous vegetable with potential to be cultivated that can meet nutritional needs and be used as traditional medicine. Efforts to increase germination and kenikir cultivation techniques can be achieved the use of hydroponic methods with the addition of organic fertilizers. Kepok Banana and red onion peels have potential to be used as liquid organic fertilizers that can reduce the use of inorganic fertilizers. This study aimed to determine (1) the germination value of Kenikir ‘Aswana IPB’ and Kenikir ‘Konikir’ seeds; (2) the chemical composition of POC; (3) toxicity response of kenikir seeds from fertilizer application; (4) the effective fertilizer concentration for kenikir optimal growth; and (5) the effect of fertilizer on kenikir yield. This study used an experimental method which was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of 4 treatments: (A0) AB mix = 1024 ppm (Control); (A1) 4,76% liquid fertilizer application; (A2) 6,54% liquid fertilizer application; (A3) 8,25% liquid fertilizer application. Qualitative data was analyzed descriptively and quantitative data was analyzed with one-way Anova at 5% of significance. If there was a significant difference, then a DMRT test was carried out at 5% of significance using SPSS 20. The results showed that the germination power of Kenikir ‘Aswana IPB’ and Kenikir ‘Konikir’ seeds had viability and vigor values that did not significant different. Liquid fertilizer did not meet the standars (nitrogen 0,21%, phosphorus 0,04%, potassium 0,35%, and C organic 0,61%). Liquid fertilizer of 1:100 ration did not contain phytotoxic substances for plants. Liquid fertilizer of 4,76% was the optimum concentration in increasing plant height and chlorophyll b content, while 6,54% was optimum for increasing the number and width of kenikir leaves, however application of liquid fertilizer made of banana and red onion peels did not affect the yield of kenikir.
