Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan di Universitas Negeri Jakarta dengan tujuan: (1) Mengetahui strategi organisasi untuk mempertahankan eksistensinya di Universitas Negeri Jakarta, (2) Mengetahui kendala yang dihadapi dalam mempertahankan eksistensinya di Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi terlibat, dokumentasi, dan studi kepustakaan. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdapat 13 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa (1) Strategi yang dilakukan untuk mempertahankan eksistensi HMI di UNJ adalah dengan cara mewujudkan visi dan misi Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam, regenerasi anggota organisasi, mengadakan kegiatan rutin, dan menjalin kerjasama dengan instansi lain. (2) Kendala yang dihadapi dalam mempertahankan eksistensi HMI di UNJ adalah sulitnya mendapatkan calon anggota baru, menurunnya tingkat keaktifan kader HMI UNJ, Kader HMI lebih mengutamakan urusan ataupun kegiatan organisasi intra kampus. ******** The research was conducted at the State University of Jakarta with the objectives of: (1) Knowing the organizational strategy to maintain its existence at the State University of Jakarta, (2) Knowing the obstacles faced in maintaining its existence at the State University of Jakarta. The research method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, involved observation, documentation, and literature studies. Data analysis techniques are carried out by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The subjects in this study were 13 people. The results of this study show that (1) The strategy carried out to maintain the existence of HMI at UNJ is byrealizing the vision and mission of the Islamic Student Association, regenerating organizational members, holding routine activities, and collaborating with other agencies. (2) The obstacles faced in maintaining the existence of HMI at UNJ are the difficulty of getting new prospective members, the declining level of activity of UNJ HMI cadres, HMI cadres prioritize intra-campus organizational affairs or activities.
