Abstract

Gita Syahidah, Studi tentang “Pengetahuan Masyarakat Kota Bekasi terhadap Tata Rias Pengantin Kembang Gedhe (Studi Kasus Bekasi Barat)”. Skripsi, Jakarta: Program Studi Pendidikan Tata Rias, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2020. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengetahuan masyarakat kota Bekasi terhadap tata rias pengantin Kembang Gedhe. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat remaja yang berusia 20-24 tahun dan berdomisili di wilayah Bintara, Bekasi Barat yaitu sebanyak 65 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling karena populasi bersifat homogen. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan menyebarkan kuesioner berupa soal pilihan ganda tentang pengetahuan tata rias pengantin Kembang Gedhe sebanyak 24 butir soal yang meliputi pengetahuan sanggul, busana dan aksesoris yang digunakan. Berdasarkan data yang didapatkan dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat remaja di wilayah Bintara terhadap tata rias pengantin Kembang Gedhe termasuk dalam kategori kurang baik. Hal tersebut dapat terlihat dari tingkat pengetahuan sebesar 50,8% dan tingkat pemahaman sebesar 46,1%. Dari hasil tersebut diharapkan masyarakat remaja kota Bekasi khususnya di wilayah Bintara dapat mengikuti kegiatan-kegiatan yang bisa memberikan informasi mengenai tata rias pengantin Kembang Gedhe seperti seminar atau workshop, sehingga dapat menambah wawasan pengetahuan dan pemahaman mereka terhadap tata rias pengantin Kembang Gedhe agar tata rias tersebut dapat terus dilestarikan. The purpose of this study was to determine how the knowledge of the people of Bekasi city on the bridal of Kembang Gedhe. The population in this study were teenagers aged 20-24 years and domiciled in the area of Bintara, West Bekasi, as many as 65 people. Sampling is done using simple random sampling technique because the population is homogeneous. Data collection techniques used in this study were by distributing questionnaires in the form of multiple choice questions about the knowledge of bridal makeup Kembang Gedhe as many as 24 items covering knowledge of bun, clothing and accessories used. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that the level of knowledge of the youth community in the Bintara region of the Kembang Gedhe bridal makeup is included in the poor category. This can be seen from the level of knowledge of 50.8% and the level of understanding of 46.1%. From these results it is expected that the teenagers in Bekasi, especially in the Bintara region, can take part in activities that can provide information on Kembang Gedhe bridal makeup such as seminars or workshops, so that they can add insight into their knowledge and understanding of Kembang Gedhe bridal make-up so that the makeup can continue to be preserved.
