Abstract

Universitas Negeri Jakarta menyediakan fasilitas jaringan wireless khususnya di Gedung Raden Dewi Sartika. Sehingga dalam menganalisa kualitas kinerja jaringan wireless dapat dilakukan menggunakan pengukuran quality of service (QoS) dengan metode network development life cycle (NDLC). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan dan mengetahui nilai QoS dari metode NDLC, untuk menguji kualitas suatu jaringan wireless untuk dinilai performansinya, mengetahui proses dan cara kerja QoS dengan metode NDLC, dan memberikan referensi kepada administrator jaringan unj dalam manajemen jaringan wireless. Sehingga melalui pengujian jaringan wireless dengan parameter QoS (Quality of service) yaitu throughput, delay, dan packet loss di Gedung Raden Dewi Sartika dari hasil data yang sudah di analisis menggunakan standard TIPHON dapat di simpulkan bahwa jaringan wireless di Gedung Raden Dewi Sartika mendapatkan indeks pada throughput sebesar 4 , delay sebesar 4, dan packet loss sebesar 4. Maka dihitung rata-rata nilai indeks secara keseluruhan yang di dapatkan sebesar 4 yang di kategorikan “Sangat Bagus”. Dan pengelolaan letak access point di Gedung Raden Dewi Sartika sangat baik sehingga mahasiswa dapat mengakses internet dengan mudah. ***** State University Of Jakarta provides wireless network facilities, especially in Raden Dewi Sartika building. So that in analyzing the quality of wireless network performance can be done using the measurement of quality of service (QoS) with the method of network development life cycle (NDLC). The purpose of this study was to determine and determine the value of QoS from the NDLC method, to test the quality of a wireless network to assess its performance, know the process and how to work with the NDLC method QoS, and provide a reference to the network administrator UNJ in wireless network management. So through testing the wireless network with parameters QoS (quality of service), namely throughput, delay , and packet loss in raden dewi sartika building from the results of the data that has been analyzed using standard TIPHON can be concluded that the wireless network in Raden Dewi Sartika building get an index on throughput of 4, delay of 4, and packet loss of 4. Then calculated the average value of the overall index that is obtained by 4 which is categorized as “very good". And the management of the location of the access point in the Raden Dewi Sartika building is very good so that students can access the internet easily.
