Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains menunjang siswa dalam menemukan, membangun, dan memperluas konsep mengenai ilmu pengetahuan alam. Pembelajaran menggunakan media akan memfasilitasi dalam memahami konsep materi dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran mengikuti tahapan model 4D. Langkah - langkah pengembangan terdiri dari: (a) define; (b) design; (c) develop; (d) disseminate. Temuan yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini, yaitu: (a) Hasil produk media pembelajaran berupa ensiklopedia sains (E-Sains) berbasis web dapat diakses melalui online browser, memiliki empat menu, dan terdapat 60 jenis varian hewan dan tumbuhan; (b) E-sains telah dinyatakan layak sebagai media pembelajaran berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli materi, media, bahasa dan teknologi dengan nilai rata-rata 91,77%. Hasil uji coba produk one-to-one memperoleh nilai 80%, small group memperoleh nilai 85%, large group memperoleh nilai 90%, artinya semua penilaian berada pada kategori layak; (c) Pengujian efektivitas menggunakan desain one group pretest-posttest menggunakan prosedur tes t dan N-Gain. Dari hasil tes t diperoleh nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) 0,00<0,05 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara hasil data pretest dan posttest pada keterampilan proses sains siswa. Hasil persentase N-Gain 76,30%, bahwa media pembelajaran ensiklopedia sains berbasis web efektif untuk memfasilitasi keterampilan proses sains. E-Sains efektif membantu siswa memahami konsep mengenai hewan dan tumbuhan yang akhirnya akan meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains. Berdasarkan hasil temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ensiklopedia sains berbasis web materi hewan dan tumbuhan telah valid layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas V sekolah dasar, mendukung pemahaman dan visualisasi mengenai suatu konsep pengetahuan. Learning to use the media will facilitate understanding the concept of the material well. This study aims to develop a web-based science encyclopedia learning media following the 4D model stages. The development steps consist of: (a) define; (b) designs; (c) develops; (d) disseminate. The findings obtained in this research are: (a) Product result is a web-based science encyclopedia (E-Sains) learning media, which is accessed via a online browser has four menus, and there are 60 types of animal and plant variants; (b) E-science has been declared feasible as a learning medium based on the validation results of material, media, language and technology experts with an average value of 91,77%. The results of the one-to-one product trial obtained a value of 80%, the small group obtained a value of 85%, the large group obtained a value of 90%, meaning that all ratings are in the proper category. (c) Testing the effectiveness using the one group pretest-posttest design using the t test and N-Gain procedure. From the t-test results obtained a significance value (2-tailed) 0.00 <0.05, which means that there is a significant difference between the results of the pretest and posttest data on students' science process skills. The result of the N-Gain percentage is 76.30%, that web-based science encyclopedia learning media is effective for facilitating science process skills. E-sains is effective for helping students understand concepts about animals and plants which will ultimately improve science process skills. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the web-based science encyclopedia of animal and plant material is valid and feasible to use to improve the science process skills of fifth grade elementary school students, support understanding and visualization of a knowledge concept.
