Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis literasi sains siswa melalui pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing pada materi energi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN 003 Melak Kutai Barat Kalimantan Timur pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2022/2023 dengan melibatkan 27 orang siswa kelas IV. Pembelajaran melalui pendekatan inkuiri dilaksanakan dengan tahapan orientasi, merumuskan masalah, merumuskan hipotesis, mengumpulkan data, menguji hipotesis, dan merumuskan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif studi kasus di Kelas IV dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, jurnal reflektif, tes literasi sains, dan catatan lapangan. Seluruh data diolah melalui proses reduksi data, penyajian data secara mendalam, penilaian tes literasi sains di akhir pembelajaran yang mencakup aspek ide ilmiah umum, karakteristik energi, sains dalam konteks energi, HOTS, dan aspek afektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa : a) siswa mampu mencari solusi dari masalah yang telah ditentukan melalui berbagai sumber dan dapat menyimpulkannya, b) siswa merasa pembelajarannya mudah sehingga dapat menjawab soal yang diberikan, c) siswa mampu melihat relevansi pentingnya pengetahuan sains untuk menjelaskan fenomena yang mereka temui dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, khususnya pada energi. Kemampuan intelektual yang menunjukkan perkembangan literasi sains siswa meningkat paling tinggi pada level “mulai berkembang” yaitu sebesar 39%. Sementara sebanyak 4% siswa berada pada tingkat 'tidak terlihat' perkembangan literasi sainsnya dikarenakan faktor-faktor keterbatasan kemampuan berpikir siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa literasi sains siswa Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar mulai menunjukkan perkembangan. The research was conducted at SDN 003 Melak West Kutai East Kalimantan in the even semester of the 2022/2023 school year involving 27 grade IV students. Learning through an inquiry approach is carried out with orientation stages, formulating problems, formulating hypotheses, collecting data, testing hypotheses, and formulating conclusions. This study used a case study qualitative method in Grade IV with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, reflective journals, scientific literacy tests, and field notes. All data is processed through a process of data reduction, in-depth presentation of data, assessment of scientific literacy tests at the end of learning which includes aspects of general scientific ideas, energy characteristics, science in the context of energy, HOTS, and affective aspects. The results of the study show that: a) students are able to find solutions to predetermined problems through various sources and can conclude them, b) students find learning easy so they can answer the questions given, c) students are able to see the relevance of the importance of scientific knowledge to explain the phenomena they are studying. encounter in everyday life, especially in energy. The intellectual ability that shows the development of students' scientific literacy increases the highest at the "starting to develop" level, which is 39%. While as many as 4% of students are at the 'invisible' level of scientific literacy development due to factors that limit students' thinking abilities. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the scientific literacy of Class IV Elementary School students is starting to show progress.
