Abstract

*ABSTRAK* ---------- Era globalisasi saat ini didominasi oleh perkembangan ilmu sains dan teknologi yang sangat pesat. Peserta didik pada era ini dituntut untuk memiliki berbagai macam kemampuan, salah satunya adalah kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah perlu ditingkatkan pada proses pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran yang dapat memfasilitasi peserta didik dalam melatih kemampuan pemecahan masalah adalah model pembelajaran Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran (POGIL) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik SMA pada materi pencemaran lingkungan.Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2022/2023 di SMAN 18 Bekasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan design penelitian pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel penelitian yang digunakan berjumlah berjumlah 72 peserta didik dengan masing-masing kelas berjumlah 36 peserta didik yang dipilih secara simple random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan hasil rata-rata, nilai kelas eksperimen lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Hasil uji t-independent menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pada model pembelajaran POGIL terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik. Penerapan model pembelajaran POGIL dapat menjadi alternatif model pembelajaran bagi guru untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah, karena model ini membantu peserta didik untuk berperan aktif dalam kelompok dan berdiskusi sehingga terbentuk pemahaman yang mendalam dari pembelajaran. Students in this era are required to have various kinds of abilities, one of which is the ability to solve problems. Problem solving abilities need to be improved in the learning process. The learning model that can facilitate students in practicing problem solving skills is the Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the learning model (POGIL) on the problem-solving abilities of high school students on environmental pollution. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year at SMAN 18 Bekasi. The research method used in this study was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample used amounted to 72 students with each class totaling 36 students who were selected by simple random sampling. Based on the results of calculating the average results, the value of the experimental class is better than the control class. The results of the independent t-test show that there is an influence on the POGIL learning model on students' problem-solving abilities. The application of the POGIL learning model can be an alternative learning model for teachers to improve problem-solving skills, because this model helps students to play an active role in groups and discuss so that a deep understanding of learning is formed.
