Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran body image pada remaja. Tipe penelitian ini berjenis deskriptif kuantitatif. Alat ukur body image yang digunakan adalah Multidimensional Body Self Relation Questionnaire-Appearance Scales (MBRSQ-AS) yang dikemukakan oleh Cash (2000) dengan 37 butir item. Data yang dikumpulkan berjumlah 146 responden. reliabilitas skala body image adalah 0,799 yang dihitung menggunakan software SPSS dengan rumus Cronbach’s Alpha. Hasil data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa remaja perempuan memiliki citra tubuh yang negatif dibandingan dengan remaja laki-laki. Kata kunci: Body Image, Remaja This study aims to determine how the picture of body image in adolescents. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. Body image measuring instrument used is the Multidimensional Body Self Relation Questionnaire-Appearance Scales (MBRSQ-AS) proposed by Cash (2000) with 37 items. The data collected amounted to 146 respondents. body image scale reliability is 0.799 which is calculated using SPSS software with Cronbach's Alpha formula. The results showed that female adolescents had a negative body image compared to male adolescents. Keywords: body image, Adolescent.
