Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan infrastruktur jaringan di SMK Mutiara 17 Agustus melalui penerapan analisis dan desain Jaringan Komputer menggunakan metode NDLC (Network Development Life Cycle). Analisa dan Desain perancangan jaringan komputer dapat membantu SMK Mutiara 17 Agustus agar penerapan jaringan lebih optimal untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pelayanan bagi pendidikan maupun tata usaha dalam mengurus administrasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) melalui 6 tahapan yaitu, Analisis, Desain, Simulasi, Implementasi, Pemantauan, dan Manajemen. Namun dalam penerapannya dilakukan sampai tahap Implementasi menghasilkan rekomendasi rancangan jaringan, karena rancangan jaringan komputer yang digunakan belum adanya perbandingan dasar dari pengukuran parameter Quality of Service (QOS) untuk pembaharuan rancangan jaringan komputer di masa yang mendatang. Tahap Analisis dilakukan untuk menelaah data permasalahan yang telah didapatkan termasuk analisis Quality of Service (QOS) dan perangkat jaringan digunakan. Hasil pengukuran QOS pertama kali dianalisa pada topologi jaringan saat ini selama 5 hari kerja menghasilkan nilai 98,3% dengan kategori “Sangat Bagus” namun terdapat inkonsisten dalam pengaksesan tiga parameter dan juga keluhan para guru dalam mengakses melalui nirkabel sehingga perlu peningkatan spesifikasi alat jaringan yang terbaru untuk masa mendatang. Tahap Desain meliputi usulan perangkat jaringan, topologi jaringan, pengalamatan IP Address dengan metode VLSM, dan sistem yang diterapkan. Tahap Simulasi melakukan simulasi dengan mengkonfigurasikan perangkat jaringan, penerapan VLAN, DHCP, dan link aggregation melalui Aplikasi Cisco Packet Tracer. Tahap terakhir Implementasi, peneliti memberikan desain blueprint rekomendasi topologi jaringan yang nantinya dapat dijadikan sebagai referensi untuk membangun jaringan komputer pada SMK Mutiara 17 Agustus agar kualitas jaringan menjadi lebih baik. ***** This study aims to enhance the network infrastructure at SMK Mutiara 17 Agustus through the application of analysis and design of Computer Networks using the NDLC (Network Development Life Cycle) method. The analysis and design of computer network planning can assist SMK Mutiara 17 Agustus in optimizing network implementation to meet the service needs for both education and administration management. This study is conducted using the Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) method through 6 stages: analysis, design, simulation, implementation, monitoring, and management. However, the application is carried out until the Implementation stage, resulting in recommendations for network design. This is because the computer network design used lacks a basic comparison of Quality of Service (QOS) parameter measurements for future updates to the computer network design. The Analysis stage is conducted to examine the obtained data of the identified problems, including Quality of Service (QOS) analysis and the network devices used. The first QOS measurement results were analyzed in the current network topology over 5 working days, producing a value of 98.3% in the "Excellent" category. However, inconsistencies were found in accessing three parameters, and there were complaints from teachers accessing wirelessly. Therefore, there is a need to improve the specifications of the latest network devices for the future. The Design stage includes proposals for network devices, network topology, IP Address allocation using the VLSM method, and the applied system. The Simulation stage involves configuring network devices, implementing VLAN, DHCP, and link aggregation through the Cisco Packet Tracer application. In the last stage, Implementation, the researcher provides a blueprint design of the recommended network topology that can be used as a reference for building the computer network at SMK Mutiara 17 Agustus, ensuring the network quality is improved.
