Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki dua tujuan utama. Pertama untuk mendeskripsikan peran perempuan Hindu Bali yang sudah menikah dalam menjalankan tradisi Ngayah di Pura Agung Tirta Bhuana Bekasi. Kedua untuk mendeskripsikan tantangan dan hambatan perempuan Hindu Bali yang menikah dalam tradisi Ngayah di Pura Agung Tirta Bhuana Bekasi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam, pengamatan, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah empat orang perempuan Hindu Bali yang menikah dengan kriteria bekerja, memiliki anak dan tergabung dalam subBanjar di Pura Agung Tirta Bhuana Bekasi. Penelitian dimulai bulan November 2022 hingga Januari 2024. Hasil temuan dari penelitian menunjukan peran perempuan Hindu Bali yang menikah dalam tradisi Ngayah di Pura Agung Tirta Bhuana Bekasi memiliki tantangan dan hambatan. Tradisi Ngayah adalah kewajiban sosial keagamaan berupa gotong royong dengan rasa tulus dan ikhlas. Perempuan Hindu Bali yang tidak dapat hadir mendapatkan sanksi cibiran atau teguran. Perempuan Hindu Bali yang menikah mengalami beberapa tantangan dan hambatan dalam menghadiri kegiatan Ngayah berupa terbentur jam kerja, lebih memprioritaskan anak, dan kesulitan membagi waktu. Perempuan Hindu Bali harus menemukan cara sebagai strategi untuk mengatur peran dalam sehari-hari terutama saat Ngayah berlangsung. Aktivitas perempuan Hindu Bali yang menikah dalam menjalankan tradisi Ngayah di Pura merupakan bagian terpenting. Posisi perempuan dalam agama Hindu diibaratkan sebagai kerangka dalam berjalannya suatu hari raya keagamaan. Perempuan juga dihadapkan dengan peran lainnya berupa peran reproduktif dan peran produktif yang dilihat dari konsep Caroline Moser yaitu triple roles of women. Keberadaan perempuan pada peran tersebut menunjukkan sebuah pemberdayaan perempuan dalam pembangunan dan kesetaraan gender. Selain itu, penelitian ini menjelaskan adanya dampak positif dan negatif dari peran perempuan dalam Ngayah. ***** This research has two main objectives. First, to describe the role of married Balinese Hindu women in carrying out the Ngayah tradition at Pura Agung Tirta Bhuana Bekasi. Second, to describe the challenges and obstacles of married Balinese Hindu women in the Ngayah tradition at Pura Agung Tirta Bhuana Bekasi. The research used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects consist of four Balinese Hindu women who married with the criteria of working, having children and joining the sub-Banjar at Pura Agung Tirta Bhuana Bekasi.The research started from November 2022 to January 2024. The findings of the research show that the role of married Balinese Hindu women in the Ngayah tradition at Pura Agung Tirta Bhuana Bekasi has challenges and obstacles. Ngayah tradition is a social religious obligation in the form of mutual cooperation with a sense of sincerity. Balinese Hindu women who cannot attend are sanctioned with scorn or reprimand. Married Balinese Hindu women experience several challenges and obstacles in attending Ngayah activities in the form of colliding with working hours, prioritizing children, and difficulty dividing time. Balinese Hindu women must find a way as a strategy to manage roles in everyday life, especially when Ngayah takes place. The activities of married Balinese Hindu women in carrying out the Ngayah tradition in the temple are the most important part. The position of women in Hinduism is likened to a framework in the running of a religious holiday. Women are also faced with other roles in the form of reproductive roles and productive roles seen from Caroline Moser's concept of the triple roles of women. The existence of women in this role shows women's empowerment in development and gender equality. In addition, this research explains the positive and negative impacts of women's roles in Ngayah.
