Abstract

Mathematics Teacher Self Efficacy (MTSE) adalah konsep yang merujuk pada keyakinan dan penilaian seorang guru terhadap kemampuannya untuk mengajar matematika secara efektif. Guru dengan MTSE tinggi cenderung lebih percaya diri dalam kemampuan mereka untuk mengajar matematika dan yakin bahwa mereka dapat memengaruhi hasil belajar siswa. Kurangnya instrumen yang memiliki kualitas yang baik yang secara khusus mengukur self efficacy calon guru matematika menjadi salah satu alasan pengembangan instrumen MTSE ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate) untuk merancang serta menguji instrumen MTSE pada Mahasiswa Internship Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika. Melalui tahap analisis teori yang mencakup studi pustaka dan hasil penelitian sebelumnya, penelitian ini merumuskan 76 item pernyataan yang mencakup sembilan aspek penilaian. Dalam tahap Desain, instrumen awal disusun dan diuji coba pada 218 mahasiswa internship tahap 1 dan 437 mahasiswa tahap 2, dengan 22 item terpilih melalui analisis statistik, termasuk validitas isi, konstruk, reliabilitas, dan Partial Credit Model (PCM). Instrumen MTSE yang terbentuk mencakup sembilan aspek penilaian utama, yaitu konsep diri matematika, kecemasan matematika, dan strategi penyelesaian masalah matematika. Temuan penelitian mencerminkan proses pengembangan instrumen yang sistematis dan melibatkan evaluasi kontinyu. Instrumen MTSE terbukti dapat diandalkan untuk mengukur efikasi pengajaran matematika mahasiswa selama program internship, dengan implikasi teoritis memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman efikasi pengajaran, sementara implikasi praktisnya terkait dengan peningkatan efektivitas program internship dan pembelajaran matematika. Temuan ini memiliki kontribusi bagi perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan untuk menjadi acuan dalam pengembangan instrumen pengukuran self-efficacy di pendidikan matematika. ****** Mathematics Teacher Self Efficacy (MTSE) is a concept referring to a teacher's belief and assessment of their ability to teach mathematics effectively. Teachers with high MTSE tend to be more confident in their ability to teach mathematics and believe they can influence students' learning outcomes. The lack of instruments with good quality specifically measuring the self-efficacy of prospective mathematics teachers is one of the reasons for developing the MTSE instrument. This research utilizes the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) to design and test the MTSE instrument for students in the Mathematics Education Internship Program. Through theoretical analysis stages including literature reviews and previous research findings, this study formulates 76 statement items covering nine assessment aspects. In the Design phase, the initial instrument was compiled and tested on 218 stage 1 internship students and 437 stage 2 students, with 22 items selected through statistical analysis, including content validity, construct validity, reliability, and the Partial Credit Model (PCM). The developed MTSE instrument includes nine main assessment aspects, such as mathematical self-concept, mathematics anxiety, and mathematical problem-solving strategies. Research findings reflect a systematic instrument development journey involving continuous evaluation. The MTSE instrument proves reliable in measuring the teaching efficacy of mathematics students during the internship program, with theoretical implications contributing to understanding teaching efficacy, while practical implications are related to improving the effectiveness of internship programs and mathematics learning.
