Abstract

Penelitian ini secara garis besar bertujuan untuk menganalisis praktik gotong royong, faktor kebertahanan nilai-nilai gotong royong, dan konsep pertukaran sosial dalam praktik gotong royong pada masyarakat RT.01 RW.01, Kelurahan Sudimara Jaya, Kecamatan Ciledug, Tangerang. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bagaimana pertukaran sosial menghasilkan nilai-nilai yang memelihara dan memperkuat ikatan di masyarakat dalam tradisi gotong royong. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan kualitatif, dengan metode studi kasus. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah sebanyak tujuh informan kunci yaitu dua orang masyarakat asli, empat orang masyarakat pendatang, dan satu aparatur kelurahan. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan tiga orang informan triangulasi yaitu ketua RT 01, ketua RW 01 dan satu tokoh masyarakat atau sesepuh di RT 01. Lokasi penelitian ini dilakukan di wilayah RT.01 RW.01, Kelurahan Sudimara Jaya, Kecamatan Ciledug, Tangerang, yang dimulai sejak Mei 2023 sampai Desember 2023. Hasil penelitian ini menggambarkan bahwa kebertahanan tradisi gotong royong dan pertukaran sosial masih terjadi dalam masyarakat RT 01, RW.01, Kelurahan Sudimara Jaya, Kecamatan Ciledug, Tangerang. Disebabkan oleh masih melekatnya nilai-nilai gotong royong di masyarakat dan diteruskan oleh masyarakat asli dan pendatang yang menetap di wilayah tersebut. Dibuktikan dengan manifestasi nilai-nilai kerja sama dan hubungan timbal balik dalam gotong royong, yang pada akhirnya menciptkan suatu pertukaran sosial di dalam masyarakat. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa proses peralihan dan perkembangan masyarakat RT 01 sebagai sebuah perkotaan tidak terlepas dari nilai-nilai yang dianut masyarakat pedesaan. Pertukaran sosial dalam bentuk material dan non-material dalam masyarakat perkotaan, menjadi gambaran masyarakat perkotaan yang mementingkan keuntungan pribadi atau nilai yang ekonomis dalam melakukan suatu tindakan. Meskipun kebertahanan tradisi gotong royong dalam masyarakat RT 01 memberikan beberapa perubahan tata cara atau pelaksanaan gotong royong yang sesuai dengan masyarakat perkotaan, tetapi juga memberikan ancaman akan nilai-nilai asli kebudayaan tersebut. Kata kunci: Gotong Royong, Kebertahanan Budaya, Hubungan Ketetanggaan, Pertukaran Sosial, Masyarakat Perkotaan ***** In general, this research aims to analyze the practice of mutual cooperation, the survival factors of mutual cooperation values, and the concept of social exchange in the practice of mutual cooperation in the RT.01 RW.01 community, Sudimara Jaya Village, Ciledug District, Tangerang. This research shows how social exchange produces values that maintain and strengthen bonds in society in the tradition of mutual cooperation. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach, using the case study method. Research data obtained through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The subjects of this study were seven key informants, namely two native people, four migrant people, and one village apparatus. This study also used three triangulation informants, namely the head of RT 01, the head of RW 01 and one community figure or elder in RT 01. The location of this research was conducted in the area of RT.01 RW.01, Sudimara Jaya Village, Ciledug District, Tangerang, which started from May 2023 to December 2023. The results of this research illustrate that the persistence of the tradition of mutual cooperation and social exchange still occurs in the community of RT 01, RW.01, Sudimara Jaya Village, Ciledug District, Tangerang. This is caused by the values of mutual cooperation still inherent in society and continued by indigenous people and immigrants who live in the area. This is proven by the manifestation of the values of cooperation and reciprocal relationships in mutual cooperation, which ultimately creates social exchange in society. This research also found that the process of transition and development of the RT 01 community as an urban area cannot be separated from the values held by rural communities. Social exchange in material and non-material forms in urban society is a picture of urban society which prioritizes personal gain or economic value in carrying out an action. Although the survival of the gotong royong tradition in the RT 01 community has provided several changes to the procedures or implementation of gotong royong that are appropriate to urban society, it also poses a threat to the original cultural values.
