Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan dengan judul “Perancangan Jaringan VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) di SMK Harapan Bangsa Depok Menggunakan Metode NDLC (Network Development Lyfe Cycle)”. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti bertujuan untuk merancang sistem jaringan komputer yang lebih baik dengan menerapkan VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) di SMK Harapan Bangsa Depok. Metode NDLC digunakan untuk membangun jaringan dalam 6 tahap, mulai dari analisys, design, simulation prototype, implementation,monitoring, dan management. Namun dalam penerapannya peneliti hanya melakukan hingga tahap implementation yang berupa rancangan pengembangan infrastruktur. Rancangan pengembangan infrastruktur yang dihasilkan dapat menjadi acuan pihak sekolah untuk mengajukan dana kepada pihak yang terkait. Tahap analysis dilakukan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan serta mengidentifikasi masalah jaringan komputer. Tahap design meliputi usulan perangkat jaringan, topologi jaringan, pengalamatan IP Address dengan metode VLSM. Tahap simulation prototype melakukan simulasi penerapan VLAN, DHCP, link aggregation, dan NAT melalui aplikasi simulasi jaringan yaitu Cisco Packet Tracer serta melakukan uji konektivitas dan pengujian kualitas jaringan dengan metode QoS (Quality of Service) pada 3 parameter yaitu delay, jitter dan throughput. Tahap terakhir yaitu implementation peneliti akan menyusun rancangan pengembangan infrastruktur yang akan digunakan sebagai pedoman pembangunan jaringan yang akan diterapkan pada SMK Harapan Bangsa Depok. ***** This research is titled “VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) Network Design at SMK Harapan Bangsa Depok Using NDLC (Network Development Life Cycle) Method.” In this study, the researcher aims to design a better computer network system by implementing VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) at SMK Harapan Bangsa Depok. The NDLC method is used to build the network in 6 stages, starting from analysis, design, simulation prototype, implementation, monitoring, and management. However, in its application, the researcher only carried out up to the implementation stage, which consisted of the infrastructure development design. The resulting infrastructure development design can serve as a reference for the school to request funding from relevant parties. The analysis stage was conducted to analyze the needs and identify problems with the computer network. The design stage includes proposals for network devices, network topology, and IP Addressing using the VLSM method. The simulation prototype stage involves simulating the application of VLAN, DHCP, link aggregation, and NAT using the network simulation application Cisco Packet Tracer, as well as testing connectivity and network quality using the QoS (Quality of Service) method on three parameters: delay, jitter, and throughput. In the final stage, implementation, the researcher will prepare an infrastructure development design to be used as a guide for the network development to be implemented at SMK Harapan Bangsa Depok.
