Abstract

Peran UMKM dalam membantu perekonomian masyarakat sebagai wirausaha sektor pangan telah memberikan sumbangan pendapatan terhadap keluarganya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dalam keluarga seperti kebutuhan pokok, pendidikan, modal penjualan selanjutnya, dan lain-lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran UMKM sektor pangan dalam meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat menengah kebawah di Kelurahan Kranji dan membantu perekonomian Keluarga dan mengetahui alasan masyarakat Kelurahan Kranji memilih UMKM sektor pangan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Deskripsi-Kualitatif. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa Peran UMKM sektor pangan dalam meningkatkan perekonomian keluarga. kuliner seperti dapat memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari, mencukupi biaya sekolah anak dan modal penjulan untuk selanjutnya dan alasan masyarakat Kelurahan Kranji memilih UMKM dikarenakan modal yang relatif kecil, ariasi produk yang luas, Pemasaran yang relatif mudah dan fleksibilitas waktu. Kata kunci: UMKM, Sektor Pangan, Masyarakat Menengah Kebawah ******* The role of MSMEs in helping the community's economy as food sector entrepreneurs has contributed income to their families to meet the needs of the family such as basic needs, education, further sales capital, and others. This study aims to determine the role of food sector MSMEs in improving the economy of the lower middle class in Kranji Village and helping the family economy and knowing the reasons why the people of Kranji Village choose food sector MSMEs. The method used in this research is the Qualitative-Descriptive method. This research data collection uses observation, interviews, and documentation. the results of the study found that: The role of food sector MSMEs in improving the family economy. Culinary products such as being able to meet daily needs, meet children's school fees and selling capital for the next and the reasons for the Kranji Village Community to choose MSMEs are due to relatively small capital, wide product variety, relatively easy marketing and time flexibility Keywords: MSMEs, Food Sector, Middle and Lower Income Communities
