Abstract

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan konsep diri mantan narapidana di tengah masyarakat. Di dalamnya membahas mengenai kehidupan sosial mantan narapidana dan konsep diri mantan narapidana di tengah masyarakat, perubahan diri mantan narapidana sehingga membentuk konsep diri mantan narapidana, juga implikasi pembinaan di Yasindo terhadap diri mantan narapidana. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek penelitian pada skripsi ini sebanyak 8 orang yang terdiri dari 5 mantan narapidana sebagai subjek utama dan 3 orang sebagai triangulasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Yayasan Anugerah Sejahtera Indonesia (Yasindo) yang beralamat di Tangerang Selatan. Penelitian ini dilakukan sejak bulan Desember 2022 sampai Agustus 2023. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan sumber penelitian, observasi, serta kajian literatur. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu setelah mantan narapidana selesai menjalani masa pembinaan di Lapas, mantan narapidana merasakan beberapa hambatan untuk menjalani kehidupan kembali di lingkungan masyarakat, seperti seringnya mantan narapidana merasakan stigma serta stereotip buruk di lingkungan masyarakat, selain itu seringnya mantan narapidana menerima ajakan teman-temannya untuk melakukan kejahatan yang mempersulit diri mereka untuk mengubah hidup lebih baik. Konsep diri mantan narapidana terbentuk berdasarkan kemauan sendiri untuk mengubah diri menjadi lebih baik, dan menyesali perbuatan kejahatan yang telah dilakukan. Dukungan keluarga dan masyarakat sangat berperan terhadap konsep diri mantan narapidana dalam upaya kembali ke masyarakat. ***** This research describes the self-concept of former prisoners in society. It discusses the social life of ex-convicts and the self-concept of ex-convicts in society, changes in the self of ex-convicts to form the self-concept of ex-convicts. as well as the implications of coaching at Yasindo on the self of ex-convicts. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research subjects in this thesis were 8 people consisting of 5 former prisoners as the main subjects and 3 people as triangulation subjects. This research was carried out at the Anugerah Sejahtera Indonesia Foundation (Yasindo) which is located in South Tangerang. This research was conducted from December 2022 to August 2023. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews with research sources, observation and literature review. The results of the research conducted were that after ex-convicts had completed their training period in prison, ex-convicts felt several obstacles to living their lives again in society, such as ex-convicts often feeling stigma and bad stereotypes in society, besides that ex-convicts often accepted invitations from their friends. friends to commit crimes that make it difficult for them to change their lives for the better. The self-concept of ex-convicts is formed based on their own will to change themselves for the better, and regret the crimes they have committed. Family and community support plays a very important role in the self-concept of former prisoners in their efforts to return to society.
