Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh dari climate change worry dan future time perspective terhadap perilaku pro-lingkungan pada individu emerging adulthood di Indonesia. Tipe penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan instrumen versi Indonesia dari Climate Change Worry Scale dan Future Time Perspective untuk variabel bebas, serta General Ecological Behavior-50 untuk variabel terikat. Pengambilan data dilakukan secara daring menggunakan kuesioner dengan media Google Form. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampling insidental dengan total jumlah sampel sebanyak 376 responden. Uji regresi linear berganda dilakukan untuk mengetahui pembuktian hipotesis yang diajukan, kemudian hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan climate change worry dan future time perspective berpengaruh terhadap perilaku pro-lingkungan individu emerging adulthood di Indonesia dengan nilai koefisien signifikansi <0,001 (α <0,01) dan kontribusi variabel bebas sebesar 12,9% terhadap variabel terikat. Secara parsial, hanya variabel climate change worry yang berpengaruh positif pada perilaku pro-lingkungan, hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi kekhawatiran individu pada perubahan iklim maka semakin tinggi pula kecenderungannya untuk melindungi lingkungan. ***** This research aimed to determine the influence of climate change worry and future time perspective on pro-environmental behavior in Indonesian emerging adulthood individuals. Researcher used quantitative method with Indonesian version of Climate Change Worry Scale and Future Time Perspective for independent variables, and General Ecological Behavior-50 for dependent variable. Researcher collected online primary data by using Google Form questionnaire. For sampling method, researcher used accidental sampling with total number of 376 respondents. Multiple regression linear is used for proving the proposed hypothesis, and this research finding shows that climate change worry and future time perspective influence pro-environmental behavior in Indonesian emerging adulthood individuals with significance coefficient of <0,001 (α <0,01) and determination up to 12,9% from independent to dependent variables. Partially, only climate change worry has a positive influence on pro-environmental behavior, this result show that the higher an individual’s worry about climate change, the higher their tendency to protect the environment.
